6 PM COAST GUARD RESCUE?….
From the balcony at Sea Ranch Club….
Looked like the Coast Guard were doing a rescue….and this writer caught the tail end….also watching from the beach…2 LBTS-VFD ATVs…with 3 VFD members… 2 young members on one…and a middle -aged volunteer alone on the other….
As the helicopter flew away…the middle-aged guy pulled a cigarette…lit up and drove off…not the image I’d want to represent while on beach patrol duty…if I were the VFD…
