Jonathan…Landscape Foreman…plants were removed from A building …in process of re-landscaping entryways for A & C buildings…looking to add ground orchids and bromeliads…http://www.orchidssa.co.za/BROMELIADS.htm

Also looking for big pots to put around the pool areas to add annuals …providing more color…building B needs 3 planters dug-out in-house to have work done for repairs…and a cell phone will be purchased for Jonathan to use for SRC business….

We are still running a deficit budget wise…but our comptroller is watching the numbers for each building to be aware of the amounts…in order to not run into any surprises….at this meeting around $30 thousand was spent to cover projects in the works….

We have a new pool attendant…Brian….and so far…all who have met him are happy….YEA!…

A resident has brought a request to a manager for no smoking outside in the common areas…including the pools…that will have to go to the full board…when they meet the next time…

The SRC CPA has finished the budget draft and it will go th the board for any changes before going out to the owners…a decision on the budget draft was expected by Fri. the 17th…

Also the engagement letter was received for the yearly audit…the charge for service will be the same as last year $12,500.00…

Randall Rogers the SRC attorney will be at the full board meeting…time/day to be announced…

A laptop will be purchased for the comptroller in order to be more efficient at the meetings etc…

Building B is looking into Wi-Fi….look for it in the near future….

SRC decided to go with Colonial Bank and use their program that offers a combination of having CDs in other banks with a $100 thousand dollar FDIC limit…while providing¬† insured coverage and accessibility to SRC funds…also switching over to a lock box…for maintenance fee payments…providing a coupon book and several ways to pay…credit card…e-check…regular check…it will free up building secretarial duties…will begin Jan. 1st…

BIG NEWS….Smith Watson Insurance will return to be considered once again for SRC…check the SRC categories 9/9/08 ( e-mail from Smith Watson)…7/18/08. ( a response from present ins. agency)…6/25/08…(Smith Watson presentation)…..

Work Projects…finally have some bids…for the cabanas…leaks in the garages are about finished in C…on to B …time to be set up….approved payments…for expansion joints for A & C…B estimate to come….B pool is finished…new step is a hit…a job well done…variable frequency drive A pool pump…approved…steel door in lower garage…approved…work on planters…to be done next week….waiting for price of A walkway & pool lights….A tennis court screens ordered…beach furniture finally approved to go out for repair…3 bids are in process for air conditioning for the Ocean room…

An e-mail was read from Roseann Minnet…who did not use her title as Mayor…informing the buildings that the Wildlife Commission stopped beach raking beyond 4660 S Ocean …until Oct. 31st…rather odd it did not come from the Town….

Finally….next time you want a crowd to show up for a SRC meeting…tell them the “Comcast Cable Guy” is coming!…

A large group of 60-70 were in attendance in the B building Palm Room on the evening of Oct. 16th….
