School Projects

Had to deal with a 3 hour wait for the BCbythesea Hubby’s Expedition..new brakes etc…

took the opportunity to spend the unexpected extra time to walk gingerly around the the Coral Ridge Mall and look at the endless tables all around with school projects from area elementary schools…

A colorful array of cardboard displays…artful projects…and reports…on subjects that cover the fun stuff …lot’s of popcorn…how it pops…why it pops…which brand pops the most……….to the serious… the environment… non- popcorn science experiments…history….clearly showing who was independent and who had parents do the work……..

Some standouts….

One class was asked to do a report on a book they read… these were real young ones….

there were the usual…the penguin book…the girl book…the soccer hero book…..and then…..

BCbythesea saw this standout….

the I pod manual!…..

This kid has my vote…he’s the one to watch….

not only did the industrious student explain it all… the tips….

he dealt with how to open it…how to set it up…

and even return to the store if a problem arises….

Definitely the BCbythesea blue ribbon winner!……..

Second place….

Journals….written by 2 students acting as if they were each candidate…

Obama….

in the journal the student writes as Obama… about running for the Senate…

includes the divorce of the Republican candidate…that catapulted him into the office… (out of the mouth of babes….)

more insight on his loss when he previously lost a race for Representative…and an entry for running for President…

Hillary Clinton ….

This student includes several entries…including the Senator’s acceptance into Yale…with her SAT scores…1465….(for those interested….)

and her scholarship 65%… her tuition…approx. $29 thousand for 4 years…and meeting a guy named Bill…. going to library together …..that contains over 800 thousand books….

Also … a hoot…a letter that the student wrote… as Hillary…an apology to her Ghostwriter…for not acknowledging the contribution the writer made to her book!
