A 20 year institution of culinary 5 star dining…..
rated the 3rd best restaurant in the U.S……
an evening of eight delectable courses….served with distinctive purpose…
each one has a decidedly individual presentation…from the unique plates, bowls and silverware….to the creative artistry of each course , the combinations of unique ingredients … the texture of each morsel… was intentional… served to each patron with details of what each item is……how to eat it…either first …second and last….or to combine the ingredients for our palates to experience it correctly…….
some unfamiliar ….and startling choices….only one…. was too much for me..squab…or pigeon!… (the rest of group said it tasted like meat)…….a rather delicate operation of keeping decorum and spitting it out as not to insult the chef… no harm…no fowl….pun intended…
an event to be sure…
from the moment you enter the small intimate setting…staffed to the hilt …..a respite from the outside world for 3 hours of pure pleasure….
to celebrate in such a fashion….making a memory that our daughter will never forget….. on her 25th birthday…… priceless…
the bill…also priceless….
at least next year at 26…a good steak will suffice…
and we can start saving the big bucks for the next big one…30!..
for the BCbythesea daughter has already located the 4th finest restaurant in the U.S……
