BCbythesea ….opinion…a total waste of time….this Parking Workshop…
A good idea to call for it….but….
Where were the LBTS Parking Enforcement employees?…
The Town Manager …knowing that this workshop was called …should have had them there …
They are the ones who could give an accurate accounting of each area…and maybe add in their valuable opinions…
Everything else was a re-hash of other commission meetings…with no real answers ….forthcoming…
With the right employees present…all the ideas thrown out by the dais members would have been addressed for their validity…..
from Commissioner Dodd’s disc or a a variation of it….to where bags should and should not be….to differentiating between employees parking in what designated areas……in and out of season….
These paid enforcers might actually have the tools through their day to day experiences to work out the compromise the commission…the merchants…the tenants …the locals/non-locals are looking for…
Just as a workshop on development should require the development personnel..fire/ police…the fire/police personnel….a parking workshop should require the parking personnel….
Let’s hope the budget personnel are required to be at the budget workshops that start next month….
Really dropped the ball on this one…
