The Editor …missing from events since he was lambasted for his stance of access to the beaches from his neighbors across A1A….
misleads the readers with the use of the front page picture…(seems to be an ongoing problem with this paper.)..showing an empty lot…is not empty because of the Overlay being overturned…it’s because the real estate market is dead!
He writes about the Overlay District along with a Timeshare Manager…(not a town resident…as is so often pointed out by the Futures about another paper’s contributor)…and a former Commissioner…their take on the impact of repealing them….
former Commissioner Wessels…gives his take on the history of why he and others enacted them…while some good points are made…about the original intentions…the promise of a neighborhood or village theme…went awry in the view of many….there-in may lie the problem…. examples…are the usual…Bougainvilla/ Oriana….
BCbythesea opinion…bring in an urban planner…work within the proper setbacks…on the side by side or front to back properties…to achieve both the neighborhood/village theme… when building kicks in …in the future…
Commission…better get the Overlay on a referendum…or a change in majority…a possibility…in 2 years will bring it back…again.

More of the same about the beach access that had one Editor laying low…from his com padre picking up where he left off…same mistakes…same wrong info concerning what is taking place for west of A1A residents to access the beach….also while BCbythesea is in agreement with no perks……with cell phone and insurance as previously posted…..she is incorrect about Comm. Dodd…his insurance is through Hillsboro Inlet as it was the former Mayor… which she is fully aware of…or should be …
Again with the De-annexation…like the old fable of the boy who cried wolf…those in the south end of town…are saying go…and farewell…is that really what the majority in the north end wants?
An addition to the fable…the strange reiteration ogf the former Mayor Pro Tem…saying the annexation agreement is over…done…move on…
wait…don’t you think the south end needs to know the real numbers…and the north…so that a continued replay of what went to who and why it did…can be put to rest?…Why so quick to bury it?
I do agree …however the methodology was not the best one…
Heard the person who could get to the bottom of it…will probably take a pass…due to it going nowhere …not being published… what a shame….
Still like the scorecard …of how commission voted…and the numbers included on the bottom to contact Reps….
