Selective in their take on Ms Geesey…her…ethics charges….while they found no probable cause for failing to report a contract to purchase a condominium on her CE Form 1, Statement of Financial Interests filed for Calendar year 2004 /2005…
‘The Commission further finds based on recommendation of the Commission’s Advocate that there IS probable cause to believe the Respondent violated Section 112.3145, Florida statutes, by failing to timely, and accurately file a CE Form 1F, Final Statement of Financial Interests within 60 days of leaving her public position for the period between Jan, 1 of the year in which she left and her last day of holding her office.’
However, because the Respondent was not timely notified of the filing requirement, and because she did not understand that income from the sale of her condominium was required to be reported, the Commission will take no further action on the alleged violation.
So there was probable cause….but they threw her a “bone” for not knowing the requirement…

Did the Ethics Commission know she was a member of “Mensa”?….
OK… at the risk of further adding fuel to the fire of those in the CIC…. that this writer has taken a walk into the dark side…to the “other side “…. here goes…I agree with Editor Bown’s Editorial….not his description of the Commissioners…but his bottom line….on the taxes and the spending….
But alas….back to the great divide…the line in the middle….”Independent Row”…Brown and the Futures actually agree with the Commission in the opposition to the Calypso gas port.. this writer does not….previous posts…
