THERE WERE 3….

The Futures….

Cover page…El Prado Park….

Selective in their take on Ms Geesey…her…ethics charges….while they found no probable cause for failing to report a contract to purchase a condominium on her CE Form 1, Statement of Financial Interests filed for Calendar year 2004 /2005…

‘The Commission further finds based on recommendation of the Commission’s Advocate that there IS probable cause to believe the Respondent violated Section 112.3145, Florida statutes, by failing to timely, and accurately file a CE Form 1F, Final Statement of Financial Interests within 60 days of leaving her public position for the period between Jan, 1 of the year in which she left and her last day of holding her office.’

However, because the Respondent was not timely notified of the filing requirement, and because she did not understand that income from the sale of her condominium was required to be reported, the Commission will take no further action on the alleged violation.

So there was probable cause….but they threw her a “bone” for not knowing the requirement…

BCbythesea….as a former board member….she is one lucky girl…because the paperwork is pretty clear on that requirement…and …

Did the Ethics Commission know she was a member of “Mensa”?….

OK… at the risk of further adding fuel to the fire of those in the CIC…. that this writer has taken a walk into the dark side…to the “other side “…. here goes…I agree with Editor Bown’s Editorial….not his description of the Commissioners…but his bottom line….on the taxes and the spending….

But alas….back to the great divide…the line in the middle….”Independent Row”…Brown and the Futures actually agree with the Commission in the opposition to the Calypso gas port.. this writer does not….previous posts…

Nice little “blurb’ about the 4th festivities…

The Times….

Cover page El Prado Park…with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony picture of the Commission…minus Comm. Clottey…

Nice piece on Comm. Jim Silverstone……congrats on the new home…the engagement…to Peggy..

Guess the news from the Commission has continued to shrink …since they dismissed their #1 investigative reporter from his paid duties a while back…too bad…

The Staff Writer wrote that Comm. Clottey was “unusually outspoken throughout the evening”….

BCbythesea…her constituents were happy… wanting more of this “outspokenness”…which is what they voted for….

Again… the “McIntee Chamber idea”…. that originated on this site by a reader…(suggestions…3/5/08)….even using the Jan. statistics…in June!…..Come on…. there is just no way …. the verbatim “idea” came independently…as claimed…

A pic of the new $30,000.00 fire truck…on the flatbed from upstate N.Y…..U Crest Fire Dept. 255 Clover Place Cheektowaga, N. Y. 14225…716-634-2633….right near Buffalo!…..www.ucrestfire.org

BCbythesea hears a certain Vice Mayor from neighboring Buffalo… …inspected the fire truck at that end of the “pipeline”…last week…..

Opinion piece by Hubley…a worthy read as usual…

Finally the inclusion of the Health savings the town should address…by John Thompson…also required reading…

and a second full page ad from Calypso…. Cha-Ching!

The Pelican….

Is there some “mending fences” going on… have those that write for the Times… been thrown some “slack”… are they now “free to roam over to the Pelican?’…

a picture of the Times/ Town Photographer…in the Pelican…WOW…. it even includes his phone number….

#1 …Ms Vik included a nice press piece for LBTS 4th on the cover page…equal to the others…thanks!…..

She made up for her respite last issue…with an abundance of LBTS entries….

#2…BSO Chief asks for help for special needs LBTS residents…

#3 ..Proposed LBTS beach boardwalk…and it’s million dollar price tag…

#4….LBTS looking for local VFD volunteers…

#5….Ride free and eat for less in LBTS

#6…..LBTS to start beach patrol….

#7….LBTS appoints new board members….

HOLD YOUR HORSES…..

We got “skewered”….. in the Editorial….

Similar to the Futures…(not the 1st time)…

Editor Siren asked….

‘Does anyone worry about the fire suppression in LBTS? We do.’

Showing a picture of the small attendance in Jarvis Hall…(to be fair …many stayed home …and watched…due to the 2nd day of the commission meeting)…

She too questioned the “savings” after the purchases…made since the election….

Note to the Commission/ Administration…this ain’t going away…

No such luck…for the Pelican…no 2nd full page ad from Calypso…sorry…no Cha-Ching for you!….
