Futures is out…

Is it on a 3 week distribution time frame…to offset funds?….

BCbythesea….opinion…

The front page article on the offshore energy port… (in the news…  way back when…it met at a Fort Lauderdale hotel….public was invited…)…..still… a nice piece of work…

but where the Editor succeeds with this…he takes a nose dive with inaccurate reporting just below the fold…

Comm Clottey…unaware at the time…. that this article…was in the works…stated from the dais last Tues. …that she and the other commissioners were not in the CIC meetings… at the same time…when each commissioner spoke…

Therefore she and Comm. Dodd were not aware of any such boycott suggested….if it indeed occurred…

This article was the first time…BCbythesea was informed of it also…. but if it turns out to be a fact…shame on anyone who would go along with boycotting any freedom of speech…any strong- arm tactics should be ignored and repudiated…

(full disclosure…BC is an inactive member of the CIC….having payed in the past… “lifetime” dues…but non- participating since the election….)

BCbythesea opinion…the CIC Citizen of the year should be from the town at- large…

but let’s be honest …about the POA Hometown Hero…and the tally of votes for the winner…which has long been suspect…with questions of who is in receipt of the nominations and their relation to who the winners are…

The citizens review board for fire…a good idea…too late in the process….this go round…

Very disconcerting to agree with the female Editor…but her article…think outside the box…a resounding YES!…on helping out the Friday Night Jazz…as stated repeatedly…in previous posts….

BCbythesea…disagrees with their article… …as previously posted …on the end of the Performing Arts…by Mr Ragusa…and has posted …that the door should be open to other Arts programs to come and make a pitch…

Sister Cities… the Mayor can still be honorary president …or whatever position desired…just not from the dais…in an official capacity…as is the case with all other organizations…does not stop the SC from asking for funds from the town…

How they voted…still a plus…but need to review the votes…Comm. Dodd and Clottey voted YES for Friday Night Jazz!…

The $3.4 million Comm. Clottey voted against was due to the pre-payment penalty…she declared the paying down of debt should come from another fund…which would accomplish the same result without the penalty….she is emphatic about paying down the long term debt…

other articles… in the Futures…have been …previously posted …and covered…on this site…
