1st increase could be $1.25 per 1000 gal.-$1.71 per 1000 gal. as early as May….Town is short with water related revenues coming in…
They are currently in the process of having $60,000 engineering study in Deerfield Beach..Hillsboro Beach…including its plant….its 50 yr. old water distibution pipes and water meters…to assess the water situation…
Options are being discussed…look for other towns to follow with infrastructure studies…and cost increases for the same reasons…including the anticipated …”no more ocean dumping” to be enacted… in previous posts…
Pompano discards eminent domain use for Palm Aire tennis center property, owners say city’s offer is way below market value…
interesting item…due to the discrepancy in land price offered by the city and who they are offering to…Mr Usman…we seem to recall was associated with the city..through abandoned properties…BCbythesea has seen his name in Public Notices in the past…for Pompano Beach…does he still hold this position?……

Be careful out there…front and center …driveway crimes up too….early morn/late night…prime target times…
another item…ladies…if you park…and as you pull out …notice a “flier” on back windshield…do not get out to remove it…new ploy to rob…and of course no handbags in the shopping carts inside or in parking lot…be aware!

now let’s see them and their fellow trainees do the 17 story run up and carry victims down the stairs in the condos…great PR…and will give a great sense of security to those living on the high floors…

are confusing…many about the pay for the VFD…
as previously posted…$10 an hour for on duty…or each call hour in a fire?….
Jarvis enclosure…maybe their close VM had an epiphany with the avalanche of citizens who want this project to be a goner?…………
Parade leader…see above…hope they won’t discount these guys…due to the source of the suggestion?…..

Opinions…CIC new President…accomplishments…so far…
some are 100%…some are in process….many were introduced by the new commissioners…and we will still have to see the direction the new CIC board takes the organization….
Must disagree with the Vice Mayor…in this neck of the town…Sea Ranch Club…residents are not bouncing…they are not happy…particularly with being unable to call the dais members by name…as the Vice Mayor enacted…and the perks… that have been prematurely introduced…in BCbythesea ‘s humble opinion…
there is concern over some mis-steps with boards and staff …meetings…and positions…the hires or lack there of…
the hope…this is a hiccup in an otherwise successful majority going forth….
Final point ….as previously posted…which will raise the ire of some…but sorely lacking a most informative article…with a countering methodology to the Town Manager’s on the excess revenue…showing a large preliminary discrepancy…
Why it was not included…who can say for sure…
BCbythesea opinion to some in town…open government is what was voted in… (by not a large margin…no mandate )….for the elected officials and the Town Administration…
not implying it is so…but at times …of late …unnecessary “protection” seems to be oddly in place …
this accomplishes little…and may do more harm than the intentions of good….they are being enacted under…
No shots at the Futures…this issue…
