‘Beach Patrol has only been budgeted for 20 paid hours a week. Personnel on ATV exceeding the 2 hours will be credited for station watch.
Question is…how many ATV hours were put under Station Watch hours?

AMR Fire Rescue Monthly Report..in comparison was highly organized with pages of their call sheets..times etc.. from 10/01-10/31…Med 12 went on 113 calls with average response time…3:41…also take note of New Business item 16 f…to place a commissioner on an AMR review board…brought forth at the last commission meeting….
6. public safety discussion…no backup…either a new meeting agenda item…to leave a time certain open on the agenda for public safety inquiries…or?….

a. Ordinance 2008-25…Dangerous Dogs…previous post…last agenda…meeting…Vice Mayor …”lifted” this item from Comm. Clottey who originally introduced the topic after calls from her constituents…and a memo was sent to the commission from the Town Attorney on the subject…it will haver no effect on dogs presently living in town…and careful thought should go into this ordinance…public should speak…

This is the $20 thousand set aside from the now defunct TerraMar Bridge repair funds…with numbers from LBTS contracted engineers Chen and Assoc…totaling $16,479 for the entire project…it is a shiny stone with a town emblem at the top with Bel Air carved in below…

1. provide assurance, including financial assurance that the artificial reef structure be maintained throughout its design life, and removal of in a timely manner because of adverse effect on essential fish habitat to NOAA National Marine Fisheries..
2.Approval of execution of USCG private aids to navigation application for Artificial Reef Project…Assistant Town Manager Olinzock…Town put aside $60,280 for this project…Town sent in $250 on 11/12/08 for permit processing fee…
f. Discussion and/or action to form an Oversight Committee for Public Safety…Mayor Minnet…Ball is in Comm. Clottey’s court on this one…she will be the deciding vote after observing the past 2 attempts to get this going…1st test…to see if … MCINTEE…RECUSES HIMSELF…due to son’s VFD employment..(previous posts)….ethically Silverstone and McIntee should have recused themselves from all discussion and voting on oversight because it is oversight over them as VFD members……

a.Discussion and/ or action to find funds to complete Seagrape Drive Project…requested 11/10/08 by Vice mayor McIntee…after he was ready to do it …in haste…clearly not having read the backup materials to the 11/10/08 agenda…showing the large bill to enact…stumbling after his political play..he drew back to this action after the Manager filled him in…
According to this 11/25/08 backup…
Seagrape Drive …this if enacted will be change order #3…(HMMM…seems like more, including Washingtonia…)..it will increase the construction time to 1/31/09…increase the project cost to a whopping…$1,192,412.18….making this addition…cost $32,039.00…with an increase to the Engineer..of $5000…with the Engineer total cost…$98,500.00…
A look at Seagrape Drive will show…just a topping off of asphalt…fix the pitch…by Tenex or the Town…and leave the private drive area for the residents to pay for…remember Palm Club…
b. & c….Buena Vista Hotel…site plan extension…a 2 parter due to a mistake made with the original site plan…being made for 18 months when the Town only allows a 12 month site plan with required extensions after that…
d. Discussion and/or action concerning drafting a referendum for a Charter change to take effect (worded incorrectly…’after’ on agenda…should be ‘from’ the referendum on…meaning before the 2010 election ) for the next election in 2010 to prevent a conflict of interest ever occurring between employment with a public safety provider for the Town of LBTS and that of the elected official…Comm Dodd…NO MORE 2 HATS ON THE DAIS!…YEA!

7 calls to the Mayor’s Condo building…is the impetus for this move…the current Ordinance 271 is from 1985…Sec. 3 ..4 times in a 12 month period…anymore…calls for a $50 fee…with 30 days to pay or a lien on the property will take place…
This writer talked to Chief Perkins about this…he said that other municipalities charge $150…this writers opinion…$50 for single family homes…after 4 time…and $150 for multi/Condos/ Hotels/ businesses…..
Speaking of fees…at the Art and Crafts Fair on Sun…..Chief Perkins said the town has not had any fire inspection s in years…so a town-wide fire inspection will be done…fees will be in line with Broward unless the commission decides otherwise…he added the VFD does have a Fire Inspector named Steve Payne (sp?) and the Town has a Fire Marshall who just passed his Broward testing…part time hire……
k. DEJA VU…PROPERTY PURCHASE ITEM…Discussion and/or action regarding offer to Town to buy the property behind the McIntee Public Safety Complex for $800 thousand…(1 million less than the identical sized property we purchased)…Comm. Silverstone…as previously posted…the last purchase gave a large number of new majority voters…voters remorse…this one if voted in…will be the last straw 1 year and 3 months out from the next election…
l. PISSING MATCH ALERT…Discussion regarding accusations made by Comm. Dodd on actions by the Town Manager regarding distribution of information to all Town Commissioner…Comm. Silverstone You mean the Manager would not have stepped in to say this was not necessary…This could this open up another can of worms…with more embarrassing dais exchanges……
m. Discussion and/or action concerning adjusting the cost of hardship and other parking permits to be in line what other municipalities charge…Comm. Clottey…no backup…no comparisons…did staff drop the ball on research once again?…
