We see it ….like a bad B movie…the biggest catastrophe we face as a country will not be Iraq…the sub-prime mortgage scandal…loss of jobs being exported…hurricanes..earthquakes…tornadoes and such…
It will be the devastating consequences of the incessant need to replace corn for food…. only to divert it…. to be corn for fuel!
The haves and have nots will be undeniable…at an accelerated pace… that surely could bring sights reminiscent of the Great Depression onto the front page of this country’s newspapers…….
The politicians should be all over this…as they are just now realizing the impact…addressed yesterday by Obama…who might be the first to speak out……. but will certainly have plenty of company from his opponents…as they all wake up to the huge mistake being undertaken… by those who insist on using corn…. those heavily invested in this venture…… with their connections to the power- brokers….
The papers are full of the rising costs to eat….a box of cereal…$6 dollars…
Everything has corn in it…fructose …corn syrup…unless you are a purist…just check your kitchen shelves…
The breaks must be put on the corn ethanol debacle….let those invested ….pay the price…not the country and the consumers…
What now?….
