Dear Readers…Remember when the VFD informed us about the ATV purchase for Beach Patrols?…Remember when the VM/Dep. Chief told us we would see where they go on the VFD website?…..Remember when the Chief informed Comm. Dodd of the checklist used? Remember when the Chief said they could not go over a certain speed without him knowing about it?…..
Well it seems these ATV’s are spending lots of time on the pavement…seen all over town…and yesterday it was quite a sight when one ATV was at the head of the “parade” coming up the road from Dixie and Cypress….with the VFD pickup at the rear…HUH?….
What was the speed Chief?….
We hear the former VFD Beach Patrol Director warned the VFD not to use the vehicles on pavement…the wheels are made for beach…
What’s up with this anyhow?…After all the VFD not only has a contract with Sal’s towing…they have a Captain who works for Sals!…
Next time put it on the truck!…YIKES…
