THE NEWEST GAME IN TOWN….

‘Ever wonder how loud a sound really is? Well now you can with Decibel Meter! Decibel Meter uses your iPhone’s built in Mic to determine the intensity level of sounds it picks up, and displays it in dB SPL (Decibel Sound Pressure Level). *

Simply start up Decibel Meter and it will automatically start sampling sounds, and shows you the RMS average decibel reading as well as the peak decibel reading. Decibel Meter also provides a fun graphical way of interpreting the level of sound.

The iPhone’s built in Mic has the ability to pick up sounds near 0 dB SPL and up to around 110 dB SPL. Be sure to check out our website for a better understand of how decibels are measured!

AND CHECK  THIS OUT….BELOW……

‘*Decibel Meter should be used for entertainment purposes; the iPhone’s built in mic is not sensitive enough for professional level sound metering’

We hear everybody with an iPhone is paying $1.99….(although some have found it for .99)…. are playing the McIntee game…trying to see what the sound levels are…

We hear a normal conversation was at the same 70 decibel level the Mc-Gang wants to impose upon the music downtown!…

One only needs to take a look tonight at the lively crowd……the music was rockin’ and everybody was happy!…

Any attempt to say there were calls of complaint received for this event….will be just as reliable as the iPhone meter itself…offering up pure “entertainment” of “payback”……

Do yourself a favor Commissioners …lower your “Noise” on this ordinance…..

The Pompano Pelican 4/17/09 edition has an article on the 2009-14 “Noise Ordinance” by Judy Vik…”Pipe-down, say Lauderdale-By-The-Sea officials”…

As Comm. Dodd said at the 4/14/09 meeting and reprinted in the article…”How many complaints have we had? And how many happy visitors? The number of happy visitors greatly outnumbers the number of complaints.”…

Tonight those happy visitors, happy residents and happy business owners would agree…

more to come…
