BC- We hear the building owners were contacted by LBTS Code Enforcement and given 48 hrs. to take care of the bees…We hear as of last night…all is well and the “angry bees”…are all gone….A quick Google after hearing of VFD Day 1…Foam in action…brought forth the following…

‘Firefighters
Class A firefighting foam and other surfactant agents,
such as liquid detergent, found on most wildland
firefighting vehicles, will kill bees. The Environmental
Protection Agency has conditionally approved
nontoxic firefighting foam for this use. Engine crews
that are being attacked may choose to spray their
personnel with a 1 percent Class A foam solution to
quickly remove the bees, but only after leaving the
area where the attack took place. Do not delay
leaving the area to set up the foam proportioner. This
will only allow more time for more bees to join the
attack. Do not take any action against the nest.’ ….

Keep those photos coming readers!….Thanks!…

More to come…….
