Here’s The Scoop….Scene And Heard Around Town…

THE HOLIDAY….
Christmas Eve…101…dinner…The place was  full…the food was great…and Santa Silverstone… was out on the big red truck…surrounded by his merry VFD elves…making there way from Pelican Square…
No lights on the Menorah…this year…that just doesn’t seem right!…
Next year…lights by the Town…need an upgrade up and down Commercial…and extended farther down El Mar…
The Pavilion had a lot of attention…most was not good…just not good…for the timing of its construction…causing the dirt…and the dark…
The rendering itself…still brings forth  “scratching of the head” responses…for how…when… and why it turned out to be so much different than what was voted on…bid on and what we thought was going to be the “centerpiece” of this town…
Some say it may be nice in  the end…very different…but nice… but the chain of events…to the final result…… ” heads should roll”….in who took over the decision making…behind the scenes!…
It is certainly not tall enough….say most…height limit  or  no height limit…the line of sight  for the ocean is  too low…and the chosen roof colors…when did that come about…not in front of the Commission or MPSC…that’s for sure….seems for what we see  posted on the construction site fence…we could have gone with the  Yanni…produced…pre-fab…long  ago…previous post…(see variations of similar pavilions…scoops category)…

A full accounting of the finances needs further in-depth study…forgoing the underground plumbing…the walls…and the permit…yes there is a permit.. $70+ thousand less than the contract to Coastal Construction…Who’s pocketing the difference…due to the lack of walls and plumbing hook-up costs….that someone decided to ditch?…

BCbythesea hears …the Town administration is saying it did not need a permit…in the Right-Of Way…and the Commission voted to forgo it……BUT…the hired construction company went and got one on 12/1/08…so who paid the permit fees?…This one will not go away…
Christmas morning…the town was bustling…Yes….there is a Santa Clause!…The restaurants were hopping…the eggs / pancakes……and specials were being enjoyed….and everyone was happy to enjoy this glorious …Florida day….
Definitely more of these to come…for as we say here at the BCbythesea…homestead…3 more Sundays…this week to enjoy!…
