A SCAM TOOK PLACE ON IMPERIAL LANE TODAY….3/3/09…
LBTS RESIDENTS….BEWARE…..
Today a home on Imperial Lane was robbed by people that came to the door claiming it is said to be there to look at the hedges and fencing…and made the owners believe they were legit!
From the details heard thus far…the owner went in the back with one perpetrator…while the other remained in the front….The man in the front then told the woman of the house she was needed in the backyard…she went in back and then…the front man proceeded to “wipe them out” including taking a safe! …..
BSO was contacted…we hear also that previously there was a car burglary a few doors away….
Residents…No Town Code employee will ask to inspect your hedges and fences without notice and credentials…if this was the scam that was indeed used…a BSO Incident Report will be posted …
Tell your neighbors and friends to be aware and vigilante…and keep an eye on your neighborhoods….
