What a waste of 6 months….
disparaging the MPSC Chair Sandra Booth….. from the dais….behind the scenes…berating newly- elected commissioners for voting for her and Paul Novak……..
Another valued re- appointed committee member Shevaun Steward-Kuhn- resigned due to the nastiness….and many decided not to even take the chance of applying…fearing more of the same……..
all to end up…..
Back where they started!….
YIKES!…
When Sandra Booth the Chair of the MPSC was voted back on to the Master Plan Steering Committee…Vice Mayor McIntee had a whole litany of derogatory remarks…to spew….
When Paul Novak the Vice-Chair of the MPSC… was voted back on…the 2 new commissioners were berated for voting for him and Sandra Booth….by the M & M & Fs….
Months went by….and the Vice Mayor made it known ….he was still not going to let these 2 have any real input on the Committee….
Then finally at the last Commission meeting…feeling confident he NOW had the CIC majority on board…he “backed off” and decided …it was NOW OK…for all to be full members…and NOW they could now be trusted to choose their own Chair….
Tonight …was the night….and low and behold….here is what unfolded…..
Paul Novak the Vice Chair….called for a new Chair….
Sandra Booth…nominated…..Marc Furth!….
One of the “Fs” of the M & M & Fs…. that berated the 2 new commissioners for voting her on!….
Marc declined….
Shirley Russotti….(a new member….who was voted in at the last commission meeting 5-0…only to get a phone call from Vice Mayor McIntee…overstepping his authority……by calling Ms Russotti…”Informing” her there were too many already on the committee…and she would need to return to the Walk Around Committee…until she was called by the Town Manager…to re-inform her that she was indeed a voted in member of Master Steering…after all….)…….nominated …Sandra Booth….
Sandra Booth…declined….
Then …this writer thinks…due to it being hard to hear…no mikes…no TV…(more about that next post)….Marilyn Carr…nominated Paul Novak…the Vice Chair…to be Chair….
Paul accepted….
After much discussion…no takers for the position….new member Shirley Russotti…became Secretary….
Noticing no Vice Chair was appointed…this writer waited for public comments….to bring it to their attention…..
Given the opportunity to speak……pointed out the lack of filling the position….of Vice Chair….
Who was nominated….and voted in as Vice-Chair?…..
Sandra Booth!….
So after 6 months….of “TUMULT”….after all that……where did we end up?….
Last year’s Vice Chair …Paul Novak…is now the Chair….
Last year’s Chair……Sandra Booth…. is now the Vice Chair….
ONLY IN LBTS…..WITH THE M & M & Fs !
