This dashing duo can do no wrong…with photos galore…of the new “Queen B” of LBTS…Town Manager Esther Colon who single-handedly “directed” this town into a streamlined government sponsored burb of “black and white” austerity…with an abundance of decisions…made all on her lonesome….No need to “bother” with Commission input…any “mistakes”….or feigned “lack of direction”…are guaranteed…. that all will be forgiven…when you promise “hands off” on all things VFD ….
HONOR ROLL ALERT….A+…A+….A+….for the Vice Mayor ….the will of the people is served…the Administration is protected….dedicated to community service…and it helps that the Mrs. VM Kindergarten teacher-Slap-staff writer is the author….when giving her guy the inflated grades…Makes perfect sense…inflated grades…inflated ego…inflated claims…inflated stories….A+…A+…A+…..A+…by the self appointed Commission Overview Board…(good enough for the Commission…but the VFD…Nah..)

How to maintain this love fest?….Well it’s simple…bury your head in the sand…no questions….no pesky facts…don’t let them get in the way….they’ll only make you sour anyway…and there’s no sour allowed in cheer leading….just follow the leader…it’s easier that way….wipe any thought process right out of your pretty little heads…
Those “evil traitors on a witch hunt are only here to bring you down”…..So what if the Manager and Staff changed the pavilion…decided no plumbing …no walls….So what if the Staff made code sweeps…throughout the town….So what if the Manager plays gotcha…against any Commissioner that questions such actions….So what that the Manager does not advertise for top personnel armed with the required degrees and experience….So what if the VFD doesn’t follow it’s own Bylaws…and puts the Vice Mayor in charge making his Chief just a patsy…….So what if the Vice Mayor drives around the streets of this town in his Deputy Chief SUV on patrol….So what if the VFD “fudges”their response times and embellishes the Vice Mayor’s role….So what if the Town and the VFD ignore public records requests….So what if secrecy has replaced the promise of transparency….so what!…
It doesn’t matter anymore…it only mattered when the majority…the Administration…the Fire Department was not theirs…When it was…an Old Guard majority…it mattered….When it was Town Manager Baldwin…it mattered….When it was Clerk Medina…it mattered….When it was BSO Fire …it mattered….but that was different…”they “say….That was different…..
For this writer…the great divide is this simple…the ultimate test is this……Why did it matter then….and it doesn’t matter now?….WHY?….
