The Mayor agreed with this writer’s previous post about the “orchestrated” media inclusion to the event…and calling a special meeting that no long had reason…at the 11th hour….to convene…
It very well could have been scratched ….with the knowledge that all the parties were now on the same page…with a meeting agreed to….and arranged….
So how much did it cost the Town…to proceed?…An accounting is required…. in this tight economy …before the next time…

Thankfully no major scorched earth …with the exception…of the Vice Mayor’s wife…going after a resident and the Mayor…
HMMM…you had the Mayor of LBTS going after the LBTS Vice Mayor in the Pelican…and you had the LBTS Vice Mayor’s wife going after the LBTS Mayor….on the same day!….
The Times looked awfully thin…sorely lacking in writers…guess the previous “scorched earth” edition…and the CIC 10th board member position of the editor…along with the alerts posted on this site….to think before you enter the abyss…made any inspired writer…or contributors…stay away from the walking through the door….smart move…don’t be fooled….
Left inside…the usual suspects…the M & M & Fs…and the repeat stories of those who think if it had not been for this group…LBTS would be a thing of the past….

Interesting asides….
Contributor Doc Lawrence…contacted early on by this writer at the inception of this site…was quite surprised to hear his articles were being printed in the Times….he was not aware..at that time…and offered his articles to be also used on this site…whenever I wanted….
Looks like another employee “bit the dust”…Carol Ann Conover recipient of the distinguished Feature Ads Award….wonder what her exit was like….the new Times ad person…and if he sticks around recipient of next years award…Jim Pollock….
For those that wonder…where is the Times “Person of the Year”…the Investigative Award winner….John Thompson…he was dismissed….without ever being told…to his face….
His “contract”..(just how do you “contract” with a volunteer)….was terminated…per a letter written to the CIC board…recently…and read to the members of the board in John Thompson’s absence….it was written by the Editor and publisher of the BTSTimes…most disparaging in content we are told!….
Since that time…John had to fight to see the letter…as is his right…as a CIC board member and the subject of what was contained….it was not an easy task…with the new CIC hierarchy in place..one can only surmise…. the “Tar and Feathering” of Commissioner Stuart Dodd was just the beginning…previous post….
Now it is John Thompson’s turn….to follow Commissioner Dodd and this writer……..he was terminated from the paper…and for all intensive purposes…. terminated from the CIC board…without the knowledge … of the CIC members….that is until John sent the members an e-mail this week to inform the members what has transpired…. most of the membership voted for John to represent them last April…more votes than the Chairs Furth and McIntee received together…….and definitely more than board member #10 MacMillan…who was never voted in at all….hard to do with only 9 board members allowed in the new by-laws…
Tomorrow night is the CIC old-fashioned Town Hall meeting…John Thompson…. was not included in any board decisions…about this event or anything else since the letter from MacMillan was read….MacMillan sure has power!…..
It is said the board is ignoring his requests….for information…..shameful….. undemocratic…and just plain wrong on so many levels!….
What will happen….to the CIC….as previously posted….depends on the members…their reaction…taking action…or being resigned to apathy….
First chance to see…tomorrow night at the CIC “style” … Old Fashioned Town Hall Meeting…..7 pm ….Jarvis Hall…not televised….
CIC Board member John Thompson will not be there….
Commission Stuart Dodd will not be there….
This writer ….WILL be there…and WILL write about it….tomorrow night….

UPDATE…to the commenter…on the improper use of all intensive purposes…I admit I had to google quite a few to find a sympathetic post to the error of my terminology use…thanks for the input…
