DANIA BEACH – City commissioners say their manager wrote his own pink slip when he sent a farewell letter to employees with parting shots directed at public officials. They fired him three days before Christmas.
But the manager, Ivan Pato, said his letter was no mean-spirited missive but a general dissertation on the rigors of his job. He got the ax a week before he planned a more natural retirement.’
