A GLASS HALF FULL OF HOPE(FUL)…
As we continue with this inaugural “Jewish Wedding”….(meaning …..a 4 day event)… of the President of the United States…this writer looks on …hoping to “toast” the future with a a glass half full of hope(ful)…That this new administration will govern with the full awareness that they represent all the people …..
On a national level, I would like to see what was lost locally in my home town……the best and brightest put in positions that bring forth innovative ideas…for progress….open and transparent government with access to information that comes to those who support the newly elected and those who do not…
I look for fairness, and honesty with putting the people first and what is going to make their lives better, to not cause them upheaval…put constraints on them that keep them achieving the American dream in opportunities found through hard work, business and commerce…
A government that realizes that while we will be one as a country…..we are still diverse in our states…towns and neighborhoods……
Most welcome will be the expectation of silence replacing the shouts of discontent when accountability no longer goes unanswered from those new to arrive in Washington after campaigning long and hard that we were denied it for far too long….
So…Dear Readers… no matter your affiliation….do yourself a favor…let your guard down……and enjoy the majesty of all this inauguration has to offer over the next 2 days… the pageantry…the history… the celebration… of an event that makes us all proud to be citizens of this great country…and then settle down….and allow this new administration to show us that our glass half full of hope(ful)…was just that…..(hopefully!)….
