SHADES OF THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION…PERHAPS…
We were told for years…those of us “drinking the kool-aid”…the McIntee mixture…that the former Town Manager was “in the pocket” of the former Mayor..HMMM…(pot calling the kettle….perhaps?)
Well…. Well…..Well…. as former Town Attorney Cheroff said to this writer upon passing by on the Commercial Blvd bridge not long after his departure…
Seems Madam Manager was mum..
At the last Commission meetings …(12/16 & 12/18/08)….as the Vice Mayor “bloviated” on about this writer putting in 68 public records requests (there were 7)…and someone else putting in 69…saying there were 300+….. answering authoritatively…. Commission Clottey’s question of what other town’s receive in a year……(he had made the same comparison at the prior meeting…his first go-round)…that they receive around 70… thus we here in LBTS were way over the top!…
What wasn’t known….by those who were accused…those who sat through the Vice Mayor’s declarations..(all the while …you will recall…. Madam Manager was mum)….was….there was a memo sent to the Vice Mayor on Dec. 3rd, 2008…about this very subject…by the mute Manager herself….

As of the beginning of the fiscal year, the clerk’s office has processed approximately 53 requests consisting of 318 items (12/1/08). These numbers do not reflect the total transactions involving the sewers in the Northern part of town or the request received yesterday or today.
The Palm Club request will easily add up to reviewing and copying over two thousand sheets of paper as it dates back to 2000.

NOT 70 as is the norm in other towns!…(according to the Vice Mayor)….
The Manager sat mum while the Vice Mayor made false statements ..that she knew were false! … “in the pocket” HMMM….
The Manager acting in such a manner….
Speaks volumes!…
In this writer’s opinion……..Manager Colon…and the Vice Mayor need to apologize to those they wrongly accused and set the record straight!….
