THE NUMBERS ARE DWINDLING….
THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED….THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING….THEY ARE NOT RE-UPPING THEIR MEMBERSHIP IN THE CIC….
We hear the members…including many that are longtime members are saying “no thanks”…and the membership for CIC is down by almost half!…
We hear letters have been written explaining their reasons…but they were not released beyond the closed doors of the Mc-Furth Executive Board…No matter that a letter against one of their own board members and founders……John Thompson was read in his absence a while back from their 1st handpicked CIC-Citizen of the Year 2008….It was done without a chance for Mr. Thompson to see it or respond as should have been required….(previous post scoops/ civic organizations categories)….
We hear that the Board has quite a few that will not be returning…John Thompson was treated so shabbily by the Executive Board that he will not return……a huge loss as they face the upcoming referendums….
We hear many who sent in the $10 dollars to renew did it just to get the info…limited as it is…on what the organization is up to….with no intention of participation…and fully aware of the propaganda being espoused…revisionist history on where some former members stand… The motto of this Civic group today…..”watchdog to lapdog”….
We hear calls are being made to come to a meeting tomorrow night…and the real possibility of not having 9 members to run for the 9 board seats…alternatives are being discussed….
We hear they are “filling the empty seats”…with the membership with “newbies”…getting “newbie” friends and “orders” for VFD members to join also… …. All unaware of the CIC’s rapid descent occurring over the past year courtesy of the Mc-Furth leadership…and their scorched earth policies carried out on their own former members…….such as Commissioner Dodd…this writer…and a list….that extends beyond the CIC including former members of the VFD who were also CIC members in good standing…
The non- re-uppers do not care to be a party to it any longer…….or end up joining us on the receiving end of the trash anonymous CIC- written blog….. if they speak out of turn ….and disagree with Mc-Furth hierarchy…
The Town Hall meeting is coming up next weekend….and is said to be more of the same with one small change… the Commissioners will not have to leave this time…..after realizing what a mistake that was…..CIC members will likely be their audience as was the case at Town Hall meeting #1….. No wide angled Marc Furth camera lens could alter who they were…….
The pattern is the same…the parallels are the same……..the CIC…the VFD…the Commission…the Administration….all in a free fall….
Time to cut the strings…..
