LBTS -VFD- MIA …IN THE ATV AND OCTOBER ELECTIONS ….
Word is the VFD members wimped out now that the “Big Chief” is back in town…NO October election for VFD-Officers…(decided while he was gone)…
This writer was told by Chief Perkins aka “Little Chief” that the VFD By- Laws were changed to allow Vice Mayor McIntee to become the Deputy Chief…(it was against the VFD By-Laws when he was voted in last winter)…. A Public Records Request was made to the Town on August 23, 2009…and the answer received…( on September 10 2009..hardly “reasonable time for PRR)…was NO new VFD By-Laws were submitted to the Town since Oct. 2008!…Which means the “Little Chief” was not truthful when we stood outside the Village Grille after the Scott Gooding farewell party…… “Big Chief” McIntee should not have been the Deputy Chief in 2009 and should not be re-elected the VFD-Deputy Chief in 2010!…It is required that any changes to the VFD-By-Laws be given to the Town….. Another one to add to the voters list of reasons to “sweep the Broom-Boys” out!…

The Town Clerk’s office asked me to let you know the Town does not have any updated bylaws from the VFD after 10-1-08.

We hear that despite the CIC paid BTSTimes ad and the e-mail to their membership……the turn-out for the CIC September 15th meeting at the CIC-clubhouse, the CIC meeting that usurped the monthly Town Master Plan Steering Committee board meeting…. was dismal… 23-25! …. Maybe that’s another reason why there’s no Town Manager Performance Review with public comments on the 22nd…No CIC to parade up to the podium!…Hmmm….
1 FISH… 2 FISH…. WHO’S PATROLLING THE BEACH?…..
The 2nd Reading for fishing on the beach is not until next month…..but the fishermen are casting from the shore….The BSO is still solo on fishing beach patrol….. We hear there’s a brouhaha with some major miss-communication… on who wants the fishing on the beach…and who wants it contained to one area…… for a trial period….. …more on this one to come…

TOWN ORDINANCE REQUIRES A WRITTEN STATEMENT OF COST PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF CUSTOM WORK WHERE VALUE EXCEEDS $10.00
This notice shall appear in English, Spanish, French, and German;
(3) Post at the counter where orders are taken and where payment is received, the refund policy of the retail establishment stated in English, Spanish, French, and German on a sign of cardboard or other similar material, with a white background with one-half-inch block style letters.
(4) Deviation from (b)(1), (2), (3) above shall constitute a violation of this section and may result in revocation or suspension of any previously granted license by the Town Manager in accordance with section 12-55….
