The MacMillans are rewriting history…and putting on some e-mails without the benefit of the full content of what transpired ….NO SURPRISE…so all is fair they say…guess the e-mails from all are fair game?….
So be it……. the big “gotcha”….is nothing!….
Against my better judgment..I was pushed into signing the “agreement” that the CIC WEBSITE was not to compete with the BTSTimes….
as a CIC DIRECTOR…for the CIC WEBSITE ONLY… read it for yourself…
THE “EVIDENCE”…MacMillan presents….does NOT SUPPORT his own allegations!…..
a piece of notebook paper signed late one night at the Furth’s…stating “we the board of directors of the cic in no way wish to use the website in any way to compete with the By The Sea Times Newspaper.”…signed by the directors…and this writer signing…B Cole…
Did I forget signing it…YES…does it say I will never write as a free human being elsewhere …NO!…
When I started my blog..was I a member of the CIC…YES…and had already made it known I was stepping down from the CIC board…
Was the CIC site dormant…YES!…
The signed “contract”….if this piece of paper can really be called a “contract”… just proves what has been previously posted about the MacMillans and their “Competition” diatribe…it is verified by the insistence of the required “contract”…if you could call it that….we called it “appeasement”….
It was done…as “WE HELD OUR NOSES”…according to Crisite Furth….for the good of the campaign…
As far as help at the beginning of writing for the BTSTimes… Never did I go in offering any such promises of anything……as they well know…..YES…. Eva edited…was I appreciative …YES…did I say so…often…of course…
Did they teach me to write…NO…but were my submissions “fleshed” out to her liking…with her insertions…as most editors do…or so I was told…….YES…and sometimes she pushed for more….making this writer uncomfortable…and making it so I kept my originals….as previously posted ….
I did as time went on contribute more and more…..tidbits…proofing…..lots of writing…
As we “HELD OUR NOSES” during the campaign…YES…I tried to play nice….until I could “play” no more!….
“Suggestions” of not speaking to other papers…let the candidates answer this one….can not see where they would call it mere “suggestions”…for what they endured when they did so….
The blog they are well aware was for the BTSTimes…they turned the idea down….and the expose…was on the P & Z ..as they were also well aware….
Just as the last BTSTimes “News Flash”…only a little info given to distort…
Taking writers away…from them to write….speaks volumes to ride home the point of all that has been written that MacMillans are in charge….or so they believe they should be………
