HE’S NOT HERE …. YET! ….
Dear Readers … This writer was dragged in to see the “Rip-Off” -Believe it! Museum yesterday by the BCbythesea family … and during the endless display of weird, disturbing and even more disturbing Ripley collected “are- they-facts”…… a text came from a LBTS “Roving Reporter”…It was a sighting ….the VFD arrived at an AMR medical call …with a fire truck and the Vice Mayor/Dep. Chief in his shiney red command car……Yep, they’re still going on too many medical calls…..the fire truck and the Dep. Chief sat outside…not needed by the EMS… We hear that the Dep. Chief took the opportunity to call the children to come across the road and get on the truck…..
What’s wrong with this picture?…Either the firetruck is on a call and therefore not stationed for a little political P.R. or it has ceased being on scene and therefore should have returned to the station. We agree with those observers who thought this was just another case bad judgment from the current man in charge McIntee!..
As this writer finally hit the end of the Ripley tour…landing in the inevitable gift shop stationed before the double doors to exit….. the caller asked “Did you see the man with the World’s Biggest Ego?”…and without missing a beat…I replied…”Nope, he’s in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, and he just asked the kids on board the fire truck!”…
Hey, just think, there is a place for that ego to go after March 9th…on the 3rd floor stationed right between the World’s tallest Man, the World’s heaviest man, and Skeleton Man…or better yet …across the hall next to the man with the shrunken head!….
Sorry folks, “Little Chief” Perkins will see this McIntee move…within “the Chief’s discretion”…and give his Deputy Chief a pass!…. The VFD elects their Big and Little Chiefs next month… fingers crossed… Believe it or not!…
