THE VOTERS WILL DECIDE…
A Referendum will be put to the LBTS residents to decide if the LBTS VFD can only be terminated in the future ….with a vote of the people……..
Close to the heart of the Vice Mayor…he introduced this item…and wants it put on the November ballot…
Note:..if that time line is do-able is questionable….
Comm. Clottey asked that it be postponed to give the condos and residents a chance to get to know the VFD thus offering the resulting outcome a better chance….to win….
No go…. from others on the dais…..
with a 5-0 vote….yes….. including the Mayor and the Vice Mayor/Comm. Silverstone….it moves forward…
BCbythesea….The odds are not as good right now ….as they might have been with the suggestion put forth by Comm. Clottey…..
It might have made more sense to put on several Referendums….and have a mail-in vote which would have been allowable….
Let the CIC press begin…..
