2….I spoke and introduced my letter and a check for $1500 to ensure instruction to new Boards on their legal rights, representation, sunshine etc…as they are seated…as stated in my published reimbursement letter….
3….A Gentleman spoke of Robert’s Rules…addressed the Vice Mayor by name…was stopped by Mayor…discussion took place from podium and dais …should resident being able to continue or to be seated due to using a name of a dais member… as posted previously …is not allowed….the Mayor decided to let him continue after checking with the Town Atty….and much ambivalence….
the gentleman was concerned about eminent domain…Terra Mar private beach access…Bert J Harris… concern over the language of the new Town Atty. at the RFP workshop and the firm’s stand on more power for local government… first amendment rights….

Comm. Silverstone…eminent domain…clarified the stance…looking into access up the way from Terra Mar…Olinzock looked back to 1981…will need to look further back…for public areas …defended Comm. Clottey on beach access stance….asked residents to judge the Vice Mayor …pre and post Mayor Parker….commented the Future’s paper is not helpful and causing problems…
Comm. Dodd….July 4th update…barge pricing vs. pier ..cost saving for pier…around $20 thousand dollars…lifeguards on the beach…wants a workshop…commission salary…a median of municipalities…never a good time for an increase….will take pay cut if he is receivnig too much… disappointed in the Future’s paper…slanted…fees of Corniche not published… concern over single RFP with Town Atty…wants more bids…
Vice Mayor.. beach safety….loss of 6 people …thought gentleman who saved young boy had died…later it was disclosed by Chief Sievers …he is alive and recovering… Future’s paper insinuated BSO saved him in the water…private citizens saved the victims…need something on the beach…more issues with he Future’s ….AMR…reimbursement by BSO..not given $483 thousand…defended Comm. Clottey/Silverstone on beach access…no targeting …Terra Mar…as written in post originally on this site…no sales taxes may have been paid by Corniche for condo paying for access….talked of former Chair of P&Z and her alleged “flip” of Oriana property while on the board..

“That’s quite an act to follow”…spoke of 2 months as a commission…meetings running smoother…respecting each other ..public comments… town business getting done…in favor of public input on 1st/2nd/Resolutions….
4/22/08 is Earth Day…giving back cleaning up…joining children to clean up on the beach…..setting an example…looking forward to Broward Days…reminded all of 4/17 meeting for Scenic Highway…will continue to stay on message…
Comm. Clottey….people need to register with town who are in need of AMR assessing their location and special needs in advance….met representative from Minto…will maintain 4 lanes…parking lot will open by 1st week of May….beach access…15th street…no eminent domain…deeds reviewed…hidden access to the beach…if something can not be found …financial /in kind remedy should be put in place in a friendly manner…special permits might be required by these condos in the future…want something/give something…Terra Mar pedestrian access for those who do not have it…for them to take care of themselves….law firm with RFP …questions about civic orgs. that were sued ….asked residents to call a person first before jumping to conclusions…beach safety important..VFD training impressive….July 4th volunteers needed…money tight…wished residents headed up North for the summer well…
