Never being a fan of Hillary Clinton….quite the opposite in fact…. more often in the company of those that found her disingenuous…..irritating…and grating on the nerves …
I now find I am championing her right to run…to be heard and not to be tossed aside…by those who have done what she is doing….and are expecting her to take an early bow….out…
A few weeks back…previous post…it was Sen. Ted Kennedy…pre- cancer of the brain …revelation…and how he …himself reluctantly at best …stepped aside for his party….against President Jimmy Carter…
Now the Kennedy’s… for the most part Obama backers….with a few stragglers that support her…… one of whom happens to include Robert Kennedy’s son and namesake…who came to her defense…despite the opportunistic licking she received from his relatives and the overwhelming…Obama crazed press….
As faithful readers are aware….on flights out of town……BCbythesea…picks up a copy of Vanity Fair…to peruse articles of interest…
Low and behold…how timely…how peculiar … the cover story… contained in this liberal slanted magazine has been “conveniently” (in this writer’s opinion )…ignored…purposely it seems shelved …upon arrival…the excerpt from a new book….
His picture on the front… with an article full of accounts …so eerily mirroring the treatment Senator Clinton is now receiving…from her party….for going against the “system”…as he stepped up to push aside Eugene McCarthy after McCarthy in the New Hampshire Primary against President Johnson had won 42% to Johnson’s 49%…
Robert Kennedy was not a great speaker….he was repetitive… he lacked the style and persona his brother brought to the podium..
he is described in terms…that also mirror the current presidential candidate… in her early campaigning fraught with comparisons to her husband….
Richard Daley described him as Judas… his brother’s advisers were not for his running…his visit to a college was orchestrated providing a set-up for the press …. a statement he made at that first outing would have sunk his candidacy if it was done in the 24/7 cable news era of today…
NOTE: BCbythesea’s father …a life long Democrat……who worked for campaigns throughout his life in various capacities…had chance to be around Robert Kennedy…while in the Justice Dept. in Washington.D.C….
he would always recount…a rather negative picture….that was questioned by many….and seems to sound very much like this month’s first rate article….

Bottom line….knowing the climate…with this year being the 40th since his assassination…the grave illness and prognosis that affects the only living brother….there is no way…Mrs. Clinton can use the facts offered in this Vanity Fair piece…for a fair treatment or comparison… sorry times ….once more…
