Here’s The Scoop…. It’s Time To Show Her The Door!…

July 16, 2009 by Barbara

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE!….

Dear Readers…As we sit here today…still with no Town Manager Performance Review in place leading many to suspect that she will be in breach of her contract again this year…..Town Manager Esther Colon is again front page news with her independent wheeling and dealing!…

Hot off the heels of her termination of BSO Chief Gooding……and the recent RFP fiasco (prev. posts)….( the latest in a long list of blunders)….we are again facing her unilateral decision making with the Beach Pavilion!

In today’s Hi-RiserĀ  (7/16/09)…the front page story is the flooding issues at the pavilion written by Fallon Patterson….on that front page is the following …

‘Gary McGeddy, owner of Coastal Contracting & Developing, theĀ  Hollywood- based company that built the pavilion said he warned town officials they would need a drainage field. “We suggested it,” he said. [In] the project we had a bid for them, there weren’t enough funds.”

BC- OH REALLY?….The project started out long ago with a budget of a million….and ended up we were told with an expected cost of $156,000….so what gives?

The Town Manager ….( many previous posts)… ….NEVER…came back to the Commission to discuss any need for the funds!

Here we sit with a beach pavilion that floods…and the street to be torn up again…because this Town Manager called the shots without any input or direction from the Commission!…

According to the article…’ The one drain in front of the pavilion is only designed to handle the water runoff from the pavilion’s roof and is not big enough to handle the water from the street.’

The article includes that a bid went out on July 11,2009 per the Town…..but it is too little …and way too late!…

BC- In the next post…readers will see why this Manager is so emboldened to continue to act with such total disregard for bringing such big decisions to the Commission…Why she is so belligerent on and off the dais… …Why she is virtually bullet-proof in anything she does whether is is in her job description or not…..and it is not just because the Vice Mayor has her back!

There’s the door Town Manager Colon….don’t let it hit you on the way out!…OUCH!…

more to come….
