HANDLED WITH CARE …. “FREE FALL IS A THING OF THE PAST”….. March 9, 2010…

Dear Readers … Have you walked around town since Tuesday? … It’s quite something…the lawns are sign free and the “lemmings” have stopped jumping off the cliff!… Everywhere you go there is still a sense of wonderment from the results of the election and the “triumph” of the “slate of three” Minnet/Sasser/Vincent …. It renewed the faith of the townspeople that they did something big …something important as they held the short lived 2 year majority and the Town Manager with 2 years in her position under her belt accountable for all they had done!…Businesses have a renewed sense of having a future alongside  the residents…and the belief they will be assisted in their endeavors instead of targeted by the commission and the administration….The Chamber has to feel safe for the first time in a very long time…knowing the new commission values them and what they provide to the town….and residents who have been beside themselves as they hit a brick wall over and over again with their pending situations either by a non-responsive administration or a retaliatory elected official must too know those days are over…. Everywhere you wonder from the north to the south …the people are downright giddy!…

The candidates must be back to more normal hours with an end to the 24-7 campaigning…Their families may actually by today be sitting around their own living rooms instead of those they were invited in to to offer up their platforms and ideals to earn each and every vote….Any disturbance or diversion is coming from the usual daily encounters such as grounded airplanes due to weather or traffic snarls rather than latest “fear-mongering” or calculated false accusations out of the now defunct “Town Hall East” on El Mar Drive…..How wonderfully mundane and normal!…

The Administration many laughed must be trying to see what is in store for them…A few thought they saw the lights on late in the corner office and wondered if some desks were being cleaned out…One swore they heard quite a lot of shredders!…

Proclamations are being written to say goodbye to the “Broom Boys” on Monday March 15th… (Broom Boy McIntee again has “cruised” away, will his still be read aloud?)….This writer is certain these proclamations will not reflect in any way, shape or form the proclamation  the “Broom Boys” received Tuesday night from 65% of the voters in this town!….

All was quiet Tuesday night at the infamous Blue Seas aka Town Hall East aka By The Sea Times  aka Campaign Hdqrs. for the losing slate of Silverstone/Evans/Couriel…who we hear “walked the walk” to Silverstone’s house to receive  the crushing news!…. Commissioner Clottey…apparently “Clueless” as ever was seen at the Furths early the following morning ….old habits do die hard…Birute is going to be walking on eggshells (something she told this writer she is used to doing)…for her remaining 2 years…The tables have turned for her….for it is she that is now the minority of 1 to the new majority of 4…and not her nemesis…Mayor Minnet!… Mayor Minnet can walk with her head held high as she will no longer have to hear  about the paltry 16 votes that allowed her the center seat.for the last 2 years …..for this time around it was 1329 to her opponent Couriel’s 703 for a big 626 vote win!… Candidate Joe Couriel will now have even more bad behavior in his LBTS  history if he ever decides to run again with below the belt accusations made and being a part of a down and dirty 2010 campaign….Chris Vincent did indeed turn out to be the “nicer guy”…..proving too many hats …conflicts of interest…no term/ big payout  contracts kept under wraps …and  4 years of identical bad acts/votes alongside his BFF “Broom Boy “McIntee were not going to be “brushed aside” …Jim Silverstone ’s Fiancee’ who told all before he  qualified that she did not want his to run can now plan a wedding …he’s got  a lot of free time… …..Scot Sasser will be able to follow through on his promises of a strategic plan (unlike the lame attempt made by the Town Manager on March 4th to say SHE already had one)….and a code of conduct after the voters showed were not fooled by his non involved LBTS “grant writer” opponent Marjorie Evans who offered up answers without ever knowing the questions…perhaps  Marjorie will finally learn to stand in line and wait her turn…Nahhh…The Furths ….Marc and Cristie…who orchestrated the losing CIC campaign and really thought they were the ONLY stakeholders in town …who were instrumental in the rise and fall of the Broom Boys 2006-2010…as well as the rise and fall of the CIC …are now left to decide …do they fold the By The Sea Times…(will the VFD still pay for the back page?)… Do they pack it in for a while as their pals McIntee depart LBTS?…..Can they wrap their heads around new”NO Guard” chairpersons  and volunteers to cover traditional town events…(change is good!)….

What new organizational rules will the new commission offer up at their 5 pm meeting on March 23rd?…Will they be new, innovative and thinking outside the box?… Who sits where with whom in Jarvis Hall?…Who comes back to the hall?….. Who will be texting this writer  in Chicago as I watch it on my laptop?……

At 7 pm on the 23rd…..what’s on the first agenda?…How long will the meeting run?….. Who sits where on the podium? …Will the nameplates be in?…Will they spell Scot with one T?………Will  Cristie Furth dare to clickity clack her way up the aisle to start out the first meeting of the new commission at public comments with an encore performance of her public comments at the last meeting of the outgoing commission on March 4th?…Will she have any traction if she does?……Will Marc Furth still be guiding his “besotted” Comm.Clottey every step of the way.on the dais?…..Will he have to turn in the keys to Jarvis/Town Hall and his coveted parking permit if he no longer serves as Town Photographer…which is surely a position that serves at the pleasure of the commission?… Will Rosa “the tomato lady”…offer up tomatoes to the new commissioner…and will they be equally edible from the top to the bottom of the bag?…Will Bob Karley finally stop talking about the annexation and people” spittin’” on him? …Does Frank Hermann come forward with a funny script that says he supported these guys all along?…Do the left over CIC stragglers follow a CIC last stand to “pile on” at the podium or do they realize it’s not necessary or wanted anymore?…..Who will still be texting this writer in Chicago as I watch it on my laptop?….

Here’s what I’m looking  for?…. It’s what I told Gene a CIC member as we stood on the median holding signs last weekend….I am looking for more of the same I saw in these candidates in this election… Commissioners who will work well together…and show even the most ardent supporters of their opponents a few short months from now that they had nothing to fear…and they “get it”…finally….these really are “Good Guys”… and they now have complete confidence that LBTS got it right….Yep, Lemmings  ….jumping no more!…

The agendas…and all the Town meetings will be posted as usual…for it matters not if this writer is in Chicago or Sea Ranch Club….and the By The Sea Future, chalk full of ads…Editorials, informative articles and much good news will be out in front of your home/in your mailroom on March 26, 2010!….

TURNING THE PAGE …. AND EXPANDING MY SITES….. (pun intended)…

Dear Readers… One night months ago I walked into a Unite Our Town meeting as a guest of this organization which seemed to be growing by leaps and bounds…I found a warm and welcoming group of people who were at one time old political foes … fairly recent partners in working to get the town back from the Mc-Furth-Colon “Gang”….and new acquaintances …Hardly what I imagined after  winning with the new majority in January 2008 as the CIC Vice Chair!…

I stood in front of this “opposition” organization far at the other end of town from where I stood two years prior and spoke of what brought me to their meeting…I told them what Avid Readers already knew…I was hoodwinked and I was not privy to a secret agenda being orchestrated…… I helped to elect a new majority that was going to unify the town…be fiscally responsible and openly transparent…I had put my neck out and helped them in winning big in Sea Ranch Club…by offering my neighbors the laundry list I stated above and more…In short order time however …I was walking among my friends and neighbors with my head hung low…offering apologies for the reality that transpired…commissioner cell phones…commissioner insurance and a $2 million dollar crappy hotel purchased for a public safety building  all done without batting an eyelash!…

I had already begun my new site…and proceeded to get down to business…to make it my mission to get the facts out …to rectify what I helped to create…I finished up by telling them I had a plan…That plan was to get the new majority out of office and get the Town back on track…so I could go to Chicago and help my daughter with caring for her first child so that she could finish her PhD…The people in the room that night were excited…receptive and hopeful ….. They could not know what was behind those words thus far…

Never could I have imagined as I began to post on my site that each event…each discovery would connect to the next the way they all did…I could not have dared to believe that so many people would be in the right place at the right time to assist in offering up information…with someone else then coming into place like a well choreographed dance leading the way to take that information forward with knowledge…expertise…connections and answers… It happened over and over again…Contacts grew inside and outside of organizations with people who knew they were protected from being found out and were willing to take chances to right what was wrong in the town from the new majority on the commission…the Town Administration and their stranglehold over us all!… I could not have fathomed how the internet worked with Google alerts…and tags…and how they would supply those with expertize in so many areas…fire departments and their procedures… Town management…budgets…finance…procurements…and so much more to contact me…….I am deeply indebted to those who possessed the background materials for bringing to light the truth on the Town Manager’s contract…the audit contract… the pavilion… and so much more ….It made it possible to fight the improper assertions being made … It was awe inspiring….

Incredibly it accelerated last summer (terminating Chief Gooding) as we moved closer to the time of the 2010 municipal election with the blatant disregard shown by the perpetrators …But as they grew more brazen…new people who were ready, willing and able to step up to the plate seemed to keeping growing in numbers as well…These wonderful town residents showed strength and commitment that brought out even more long kept Town secrets to the people…and the people were paying attention…The majority on the commission…the administration and their ever shrinking CIC supporters ….remained in their “bubble” ….They made the decision to go  all out with full out Furth- led Fear-mongering….culminating in a last week of campaigning that will certainly go down as the worst I for one have ever seen in LBTS  politics…(prev. posts)…But again, thanks to my “team”… and with their assistance……this site was able to counter and counter we did…. with the facts… Counter we did with three fine upstanding candidates who ran a clean campaign that was just first rate!…They were always one step ahead in organization…They were way ahead on substance, character and ideals…And in the end…it all came together on Tuesday March 9, 2010 ….as the voters mailed in their absentee ballots…and voters came out and voted in Minnet/Sasser and Vincent!… The Sentinel called it a “A triumph”…and said Silverstone/Evans/ Couriel were “trounced”… Yes they were!….By a landslide!… It was a mandate!… It was more than this writer could ever have dreamed of as I began to take them on…as I stood in front of Unite Our Town…as I waited for the results at Athena By The Sea!….

Yesterday, after the celebration (prev. posts)…I was inundated with calls…texts…and e-mails from so many…and among the many were those who assisted all along the way!…The voters/taxpayers/residents/businesses of LBTS may never know some of you by name …but you all know as I do…what a team effort this has been and it could never have been accomplished without all of you “the dots”….connecting all the way ….to the victory of Tuesday night!…Kudos!….

The “next chapter” will officially begin in LBTS on March 15, 2010 in Jarvis Hall at 7 pm…(public is welcome)…with the swearing in of Mayor Roseann Minnet…Commissioner Scot Sasser and Commissioner Chris Vincent…

For this writer the “next chapter” will begin on March 19, 2010 with  an extended stay in Chicago …with a soon to arrive new granddaughter and with a new site (as you can see!) ……”Barbaracolewrites.com” ….”The Chief Blogger”……will remain “Barbaracolebythesea.com” …All three domain names coming together…(all links lead to the same site/ link to heresthescoop.com remains as well)…) with continuing coverage of LBTS and much, much more…with plenty of assistance from the “team” behind the scenes…Roving Reporters…Roving Photogs…and of course you, the  “Avid Readers”…now that LBTS in good hands with our newly elected commission!… My Mission has been accomplished!…

Dear Readers … It was quite a day yesterday in LBTS …it was the day when the Mc-Furth-Silverstone-Clottey-Colon Gang found out …people were listening… voters were paying attention and bad acts are not tolerated for long in our Town without paying the piper!… Yesterday that piper said the bill was due…and due it was…overdue!…

The voters voted by absentee ballot with numbers we have not seen before… …Couriel 179/ Minnet 449….Evans 190/Sasser 435/ Silverstone 177/Vincent 447… In the North…Q231 Couriel 88/Minnet 262 ….Evans 84/Sasser 266 ….Silversrtone 92/ Vincent 255…..Q232 Couriel 55/Minne 10=98….Evans 57/Sasser 194….Silverstone 59/Vincent 193…In the South…Q33 Couriel 81/Minnet 130….Evans 80/ Sasser 131….Silverstone 83/Vincent 129….Q30 Couriel 300/Minnet 290….Evans 294/Sasser 293….Silverstone 310/ Vincent 280…

It was truly something to behold ….That no matter how down and dirty the Furth-CIC endorsed candidates went with the lowest of the low in campaign fear-mongering…countless false accusations…multiple false and misleading By The Sea Times “News Flashes”…Shameless and Nasty editions of their newspaper chalk full of  slanderous sounding articles ….Outrageous accusations made on and off the dais about residents…businesses and non-majority dais members…from the beginning of their campaign right up to the end ….including election day where we saw Commissioner Clottey use an anonymous call said to the Town Manager that was put out as a memo to the commissioners to try and subvert votes stating the anonymous call came from the opposition of the candidates she supported!… We were privy to voters who came to us with stupefying stories being told to them…that a win for Minnet/Sasser/Vincent meant a casino in the Holiday Inn…heights returning…taxes going up….and of course their unsubstantiated claim of racial slurs and threats to kill their Mayoral candidate… None of it worked!… It all backfired big time…and the Mc-Furth Gang are left in no man’s land to deal with the aftermath and the isolation they have no one but themselves to blame!… They took an opportunity provided to them by the very same voters 2 years ago …to govern  this town the right way…and blew it big time…on their own self serving agendas!…

As the numbers were read out by this writer ….the cheers and tears were seen throughout the packed restaurant…All in attendance agreed…we would get it right this time…we would not take the voter’s votes for granted and we will take this opportunity to show the voters…the taxpayers…the residents and businesses… that we intend to make them proud that they voted for this change…and offer up to them government that is  respectful…inclusive…transparent…fiscally responsible… and something that will finally make them proud!… After all the acceptance speeches…each heartwarming and each providing us all even more reassurances that with these three …Minnet/Sasser/Vincent joining Commissioner Dodd on the dais March 15, 2010…..we can now truly breathe a sigh of relief…..and look forward once again to a town that will put community first!…

“3 Lauderdale-by-the-Sea candidates trounce opponents
A team of three candidates who ran together trounced their opponents in a race that centered on development and decorum.
Incumbent Mayor Roseann Minnet overcame a challenge by Joseph Couriel. In District 1, Scot Sasser beat Marjorie Evans — both of them newcomers competing to fill the spot vacated by Vice Mayor Jerry McIntee. In District 2, newcomer Christopher Vincent beat incumbent Commissioner James Silverstone.

Voters have “shown they wanted some change here — the change is we want to bring decorum and respect back go the town and then we can move forward and get some of the town business done,” Vincent said after his win.

Sasser and Minnet could not be reached for comment.”

Oregon snowbirds Diana and James Macfarlane voted for the three winners Tuesday because they felt the trio supported their vision of smart development at the current height restrictions.

Diana Macfarlane said she wants to keep Lauderdale-by-the-Sea a “darling little town.”

Town politics usually center around development issues. Public meetings are heated, loud and often angry, as residents take their politics very seriously.

“The unruliness, the fighting, it’s disgraceful,” said Diana Macfarlane. “Take a lot of the friction away and get things done.”

Marla Conley also voted for Minnet, saying she hoped the mayor would be able to bring civility to Town Hall. “Meetings need to calm down,” she said.

“I lived in Coral Springs for 15 years and I never saw anything like this,” said resident Myra Sullivan. “There is so much animosity in this town it’s ridiculous, it’s horrible.”

Mayoral candidate Couriel even accused one of Minnet’s supporters of spitting on him last week as he campaigned. Minnet alleges Couriel spat, too.

“It’s just unfortunate,” she said before the votes were counted Tuesday. “Hopefully after this election we’ll get common sense in this community. We’re so polarized.”

TUESDAY MARCH 9, 2010 ….

Dear Readers…As I sit here at 4:49 am getting ready to head over to the Jarvis Hall Polling Place…I am in wonderment that this day has finally arrived!…I started this site the day after the last election In January 2008… It was to get the word out about what was going on in LBTS ….In came out of a contentious all consuming experience in the CIC campaign for Wick,Dodd and Clottey….I was shut down in the ability to write by the past owners and editors of By The Sea Times and the defunct relatively new CIC website…along with what I began to call the Mc-Furth “Gang”… It was a behind the scenes madhouse of a campaign that was coming apart at the seems from egos and self-serving agendas!… We did keep it well hidden from view as we headed into a victory….But 2 years ago as the election was won on a day such as this…that campaign committee was already well separated and defunct…

Long time and what I began to call “Avid Readers”…will recall the chain of events that ultimately led to the Sausage Series category (see categories)… and are also quite aware of the journey this writer has taken them on with uncovering the Mc-Furth-Colon agenda…with questionable majority/administration purchases large and small…along with startling facts never revealed until they were posted on this site…The Manager’s contract …her 1 year full salary severance with no term in the contract that McIntee and Silverstone either lied about along with the Manager or did not read along with 2 other former commissioners… Readers recall the Annual Performance Review uncovered in her contract and then the long drawn out contentious efforts by McIntee, Silverstone, Clottey, Colon and the CIC leftover supporters to thwart the required review…and the sub-standard farce that finally took place …A look back recall many other sorted and disturbing patterns of unilateral and costly actions taken by the Town Manager and supported by the McIntee-Silverstone-Clottey-Furth-CIC “Gang”…such as the Beach Pavilion which floods….and is now rusting away…The removal of reading RFPs aloud…The $200,000 dollar 3 year Audit contract done without the proper backup given to the commission…firings of personnel and then going after them….going after businesses and taxpaying residents as payback …The garbage fiasco which was first written about and predicted right here at the very first sit down pre-bid meeting with only this writer in attendance along with the waste companies… The backup that is now on the website…did not come from Candidate-Comm. Jim”He’s not a nice guy”Silverstone…it came only after the PIO D’Oliveira said it could be done and the Town Manager was accepting of it because she did not like me coming into Town Hall every 2 weeks and reading the backup!…I was stopped from getting copies made…Public Records requests were slowed down…and costs were added on to stop the flow of information (same for the RFPs in July 2009)… The Public Records requests were made more difficult by changing who was the contact person…The McIntee-0Silverstone-Clottey -Colon-Furth “Gang” was wholeheartedly supportive of stopping the information getting out and fought to find reason to assist the Administration in ways that could only make this writer shake my head in amazement! …For 2 years it has not changed it only increased in brazen ways that no one could have predicted…including the termination of BSO CHief Gooding…the Senior Center …and the El Mar median “walkways”… and so much more…(2 years of “more” in archived posts)….Case in point …. the latest…the Ocampo contract…reads “The owner (Town) is advised that all construction components are designed to the MINIMUM CODE REQUIREMENTS, which are at the LOWER boundary of design quality, unless otherwise requested.”… a million dollar contract signed by the Assist. TM Olinzock for TM Colon on Dec. 11, 2009…a contract hat produces $117.600 for Ocampo from a $980,000 project!… So it continues on…with the “blessing” of those who are asking for your vote today…Silverstone/Evans/Couriel and their campaign managers Marc and Cristie Furth!…ARGHHH…….

The loss of support in the CIC has been staggering…as others too caught on to bad acts…bad behavior and walked away…The lack of  participants in Jarvis Hall for the “Gang” is not out of any fear of “mob rule” from the those who chose to attend…Just as the lack of participation has not been there in this race for the CIC endorsed candidates…(just paid out of town sign holders…door hangers…and robo- call firms)….It is due to the fact that enough is enough and this “Gang” has worn out their welcome….The residents…voters…and taxpayers saw what this writer saw in “How The Sausage Was Made”…and saw that what was posted here was fact!…

Today, I can tell those same well informed Avid Readers…with the second batch of sausage ..Minnet/Sasser/Vincent…there is no bad ingredients in this batch!…

I have watched these three candidates run a steller campaign they can all be proud of…No negative mud-slinging….No “Fear-mongering”… No empty or distorted promises …skewed political records or  dirty politics …as they have endured from their Furth backed opponents throughout…(as have the voters)…

These 3 candidates are ready willing and able to provide the voters …taxpayers…residents and businesses of this town what they did not get 2 years ago…a voice…reason…decorum…civility…transparency and a chance to move forward with inclusion for all!…

Today, Dear Readers…it is finally  time to rectify what I helped to create…Today is the chance to make LBTS, the Town we all want to call home…our home…a great place to live!…

Please get out and vote…take your neighbors…take your friends…and make your vote count…in the effort to get it right this time!…

Dear Readers … One day from now we will all know who the voters decided could lead us for the next 2-4 years in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea…Yesterday, once again the Town’s corners were full with supporters for Minnet/Sasser/Vincent… and except for a few students from Cardinal Gibbons receiving Community Service points for standing with a political sign…. the outside of town limits, paid help for Silverstone/Evans/Couriel was nowhere in sight…Hmmmm…

What was happening shows just why voters have to get it right on Tuesday when they fill in that second “bubble” on the ballot…The Furth-CIC  members walked around to the supporters of homes of Minnet/Sasser/Vincent with a “Goody Bag”…In it was a CIC gaggle of “gifts”…to try and sway their votes…HA!… Come on!… Too funny…. except for where some of them were placed…OOPS!…

Hi Barbara It is now 12:45 March 7, 2010. I just returned from outside where I found all sorts of election material in MY MAILBOX. I thought it was illegal to place election material in the mail box, but you could place material near the mailbox. Please advise because I am very annoyed. I live at xxxx Poinciana St. LBTS 33308 Thanks xxxx. By the way this was paid for and approved by the Citizens Initiative Committee,not endorsed by any candidate.

Here’s what was in one of the bags passed out today…Will supporters change their position on the candidates for plastic bags containing the last flier they received in the mail ……

“THEY MUST WALK THE WALK”…”COURIEL-EVANS-& SILVERSTONE HAVE WALKED THE WALK”… states the flier…..This writer agrees!…

That the Furths chose to use this old adage to describe their candidates….YIKES!… “As you may recall”… McIntee’s infamous statement in December ….that brought forth the “Quack, Quack” post!….(Bye, Bye, Bye…post)…

“IF  YOU WALK LIKE A DUCK, IF YOU WADDLE LIKE A DUCK, YOU GOTTA BE A DUCK” Vice Mayor Jerry McIntee 12/8/09 … (prev. post LBTS Agendas/Meetings cat. 12/11/09)..

Also included was the cheap minty green pen …a pseudo-ballot that wrongly displays the real ballot (using arrows  and check marks- no correct verbage/ “bubbles”!)…posted notes that read Re-elect Jim Silverstone Your Town Commissioner…(Note to self…vote for the other guy!)…Jim’s candidate business card…

And the best “gift”…..Jim”He’s not a nice guy” Silverstone’s red plastic band-aid holder that read “Re-Elect Jim Silverstone”…the one with the single band-aid in it that says “SWIFT”…(Couldn’t make it up any better”…It’s “Swift” alright!… We had some pretty funny quips from the “goody bag”recipients … …

Also was a postcard that appears to be one for the Florida Elections Commission to get a complaint filed on… It is of the LBTS “REEF”…stating “Joe, Jim & Marjorie support the reef project”…. on the back it stated “Please vote 3/9/2010 Joe Couriel for Mayor etc…below it states”Pd. Pol. adv. by Hannah Hempstead-no candidate approved”…BUT… it contains Jim Silvsertones scanned signature!… Ms. Hempstead has already given donations to the candidates according to their required donation reports..so did she keep within the $300 maximum allowed and this was a way to bypass that amount?….If the candidates did not approve it as it states… …why does it contain Jim Silverstone’s scanned signature and why it it in a candidate approved “goody bag”?… Ms. Hempstead..Yep, that Hannah Hempstead the one who sits behind her opposition to snoop and to videotape fellow residents inside Jarvis Hall (prev.post)…should have a lot of company inf front of the Fl. Elections Commission…if the last candidate reports do not show the big buck$ paid out by the CIC-Silverstone/Evans and Couriel for BTSTimes ads…multiple mailers…The BTSTimes mailed and candidate paid for election newspaper…Silverstone’s half page Sentinel Sunday ad (larger the Town’s Municipal Election ad, Sunday in the Sentinel Local section-on the back page with ads…Hmmm…you would think the Colon Administration was hoping for a small vote turnout, assisting by using the last possible day to get it printed!)… Evans had ads in the Pelican and Hi-Riser…also MIA in her reports… We have been informed by those in the know,that purposeful delays in reporting expenditures or contributions are also grounds for finding probable cause!…OUCH!… One more biggie…Mayoral Candidate Joe Couriel who NEVER stepped down as the CIC Vice Chair!….GULP!…

Perhaps, the “Goody bag” for those who support their opposition will be the Candidates and their Campaign Managers…along with certain supporters having to face the music in Tallahassee …..and this one requires no street closures!…

Candidate Marjorie Evans showed this writer once again why I have no respect for her…When she is awake …(outside of commission meetings)…. Mrs. Evans showed me loud and clear today why she tied her apron strings to the Furths-Clottey-Silverstone and Couriel…She too is a nasty piece of work…(Is there a vaccine for this?)… I was standing in the median on A1A and Commercial yesterday waving the signs for Minnet/Sasser/Vincent when she did a u-turn and stopped where I was standing..she waved and I did not respond…She rolled down her window to say “Did you like reading about yourself in the paper?”…I did not respond..She said “so you’re a minority business?”… I finally responded knowing full well what she was spewing…In the BTSTimes election newspaper…fully paid for by Evans/Silverstone/Couriel….A “Staff Writer”…(Moe McIntee most likely aka  the “Truth Deflector”)…wrote “Minority Profits” …In it she made such erroneous and stupid statements…the kind that could only be made by someone who has limited information on me, my business ..and especially the federal government and how a company works when doing business with the government…I expected as much from the “Truth Deflector”…She is known for not seeing the forest through the trees when it comes to her “Deflector” work…BUT …. from Candidate Marjorie Evans…a WOMAN who runs a non-profit organization..who is running on her expertize for working with the federal government…YIKES!… I told Marjorie “Marjorie I own a business and it’s a woman owned business..YOU of all people should understand that!”… I also told Candidate Evans “If you figure out how to get money from the government without bidding for it…you let me know!”…(The article said I do not have to submit competitive bids, “just send away for federal money-no questions asked”)…She rolled up her window and drove away…

OOPS!… I quickly realized when she drove away…SHE does know how!…It’s what we have been told she does best according  her “handlers”……and her running mates……SHE gets money from the federal government $15 million per year!…(Taxpayer’s money!)…As a woman (minority) who heads up a federally funded non-profit organization and receives $150,000 a year!…My business has no such luck!…..There are no federal funds with no questions asked for hard working for profit businesses…man or woman!……Marjorie Evans long steeped in getting non-profit government money….with a cushy salary …. just doesn’t get it!… Do you want this woman to represent you?…

By the way Marjorie…can I sue the BTSTimes for a racial slur?…When they called my husband and I “A wealthy, white couple”?…Were they “profiling?”…OUCH!…

HOW LOW CAN THEY GO?….

Dear Readers… The Furth-CIC Endorsed candidates are paying young “outsiders” that CIC “Newbie” Liliana Pomareda brings into town to hold Silverstone/Evans/Couriel political signs on street corners!… The photos above sure look like Pomareda and an unknown person going over time sheets…This better show up on the G5 Reports!….

How low has the CIC sunk with their support that they now are doing the very thing that outgoing Vice Mayor McIntee found so despicable only a few short years ago?…(prev. post David Beyer)….

The A1A corners were full once again with an abundance of supporters who actually live in the town for Minnet/Sasser and Vincent…No time sheets required….just an overwhelming desire to put an end to the vitriol we witnessed last night from the real “mob rule”…the real “instigators”…the real “bullies”…and the real cause of the division in this town… Furth-Silvserstone- McIntee-Clottey and Colon…along with Dvorak…Hempstead…Wardlaw…Pomareda….and Patterson!…

Today, after the last Commission meeting for this current Commission…. the phone was ringing off the wall…The e-mails….texts and countless encounters on the streets have added up to a resounding need and want for change ……

Vote this present  majority out on March 9, 2010…and put an end to the “anarchy”…..the real “anarchy”that has always has and still does come from Furth-McIntee- Silverstone-Clottey and Colon …who once again denigrated all those who came before them and all those who will come after them…

The loneliest man in LBTS today…was standing on the corner of A1A and Commercial at 6 pm…All alone with no support especially after the Pomareda”paid help” was driven outside of town limits…Jim “He’s not a nice guy” Silverstone!… (He did it to himself…hitching his “post” to McIntee-Furth- Colon) ….

It must have been hard for him to look out across at every other corner….Standing by his opposition and the opposition of his running mates were their supporters…residents all!……

After a return trip from carting the “hired help” to other parts of town…Mayoral Candidate Joe Couriel came back to position himself yet again in front of Athena By The Sea… Again, all alone… no supporters…and left to deal with being surrounded by the supporters for those that oppose him… We hear he told them he knew McIntee was the big problem on the dais…..and that he also was given a big “thank you” from one of those sign holders….Joe received that big thanks for the commission meeting the night before and the Furth-led reminder of what the voters needed to get a good dose of……With McIntee/ Furth MIA at the meeting prior….the voters needed to see their M.O ….. in order to remember once again why they need to vote them out in 4 days!….

Hot on the heels of the CIC Candidates Silverstone/Evans/ Couriel supporters ignoring the SRClub Board and passing out fliers door to door for their Feb 22nd Meet the Candidates meeting…(prev. post)…again, SRClub residents are quite disturbed…literally ….with the CIC non-resident paid sign holders  standing outside their condominium on the sidewalk blocking the sidewalk…and resulting in some honking horns!… OOPS!….

Concerned mother Liliana Pomareda?… Really?….Hmmm….. Why would a “concerned” mother decide to cross all of the intersections on A1A and Commercial on a bike with her young child on a skateboard in the middle of rush hour over and over again?…. And she is worried about stranger danger on the internet?… YIKES!…

SMACKIN’ THEIR LIPS… FOR VOTERS TO BE “FILLED” WITH FEAR…

Dear Readers… Did the Roosters come home to roost?… The last meeting of the current majority was a fully orchestrated event…It had all the “Mc-Furth Gang”members in Jarvis Hall….(including Moe McIntee)..in all their assigned roles fulfill a last ditch effort to bring the voters of LBTS “pure propaganda of fear”… It must have been “hatched”at Town Hall East… and all in hopes that you the voters are ready to buy what they are selling …It was cheap and plentiful!……Tonight the white gloves were off…This was to be no fancy table cloth affair…This was a down and dirty…greasy and grubby …roll up your sleeves and prepare to need a bath just to get the scum off back door”Barbs”-on- cue!….CIC “Newbie” Liliana Pomareda was “sitting in wait” to sign up first before half past 6…Cristie Furth arrived looking like she hadn’t bathed in weeks…(Familiar- 2008) …A small but vocal contingency of CIC members were seated in a pack on the left side in order to boo as directed…and boo and hiss they did (who’s the real mob?)… Cristie sat next to Louis Dvorak, the man Marc Furth and Jerry McIntee told this writer long ago was responsible for many after midnight runs of mischief and supposed vandalism alongside them in the Parker days…( I asked him to leave my house alone as I left)…Christie Furth could hardly contain her glee when off camera… (On camera was another “Oscar” worthy cameo)…She was ready …”Smackin her lips”…like she had a big old bucket of KFC…She would tell this writer to shut up…she would boo…she was full of such cackling laughter  (like the cat who ate the canary…fried?)…as she watched what she designed,…..the most orchestrated meeting we have seen in this town since the orchestrated VFD Fire Dept. meeting ….   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDbw9CCLLHI&feature=youtube_gdata …. Cristie sat down when one of her “Swedish” minions came forth to recreate more hearsay …She was practically playing patty-cake with Louis when heard one by one tell their story…and what stories they were…Liliana acting all concerned about her children being on Youtube…(we hear earlier in the day the “concerned ” mother practically had her child running in the road)… The Youtube-child predator “angle” was  a last ditch effort to thwart the mess she put herself in with the camera putting a damper on her exploits!… The McIntee- Silverstone-Clottey majority stopped the DVD from being shown knowing it would contradict her claims of intimidation and fear after resident Diana Kugler stepped up to counter her claims and asked for it to be shown to put this matter to rest and let the viewers decide……. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aalo2v3NbJI …..(I can guarantee you if the time had been 2 years prior and it was a help to McIntee-Silverstone-Clottey and Furth…it would have been shown at least twice!)…..Liliana Pomareda broke the rules of the hall as she came back up to try and stop the DVD…as she used “politics” in the process….going after the Mayor…The CIC group had by all accounts “baited” their opposition…as they positioned their Mayoral candidate Couriel to set-up what happened on Monday night……Both sides provided the LBTS Police with reports…and it is an ongoing investigation……. What a proud “Den mother” Cristie was as she gave me smirked and smiled with zeal……overjoyed with what she…her husband …the McIntees…Silverstone…and Clottey created all in the comfort of her Hacienda …..Undoubtedly they were deep in planning it all when the residents would see their cars there 24-7…. (Sunshine be damned…the rules do not apply to them)… She had Hannah Hempstead, a nasty piece of work in this writer’s opinion taking videos of this writer and others in the hall …(Youtube bound no doubt)…Many in the hall spoke to me of their discomfort being around her at the break…Cristie herself  took to the podium to pounce and spew out a one sided “woe is me” type fairy tales as she stuck it to the Mayor (the Mayor let Cristie go on the attack much further than any other speaker in recent memory)….The residents who observed the incidents countered the claims  tit for tat with yet another resident stepping forward to say he was “assaulted” in the hall by “Newbie” Liliana Pomareda…This time with her glasses!…( On Feb. 9th it was paper)…YIKES!…They had their “Golden Parachute” Town Manager Esther Colon fully engaged as she falsely claimed (As you recall) with the assistance of Jim “He’s not a nice guy” Silverstone that her “Commission & Staff Past & Present Accomplishments” were done routinely as the commission observed its last meeting before an election… A look at agendas in 2006 and 2008 show it was false to state it as fact…and Jim Silverstone was dishonest to claim it was so!… (He is so easily led in her “recollections”)….

The Manager did a power point that was as political as it gets…She is very secure in her declarations of this being a Town Manager form of government and after witnessing this type of behavior she is right!……She  spoke of herself in the 3rd person…saying Esther Colon was responsible for so much all on her own…(disturbingly slanted and distorted)…She went head on in her politically pointed arrows at those candidates running against her choice of Furth-CIC endorsed candidates…knowing these candidates will offer her unparalleled job security and a Town Manager form of government that’s here to stay if they win!… She was rude to the Mayor..and equally nasty to Commissioner Dodd…and no one…put a stop to it… Cristie could not have been prouder!…She glossed over the fact that we had $18 million dollars  (now down to $12+ million) and could have built our Town Hall Complex…and our El Mar Project…and our drainage townwide…forgoing a crappy $ 2million dollar motel…and piecemealing McIntee Memorial “median walkways”…and we could have lowered the millage rate… She did not address all the big projects she miserably directed unilaterally…( Beach Pavilion/Public Safety Motel/ Off-site warehouse) the below the belt tactics of going after the Fire Marshal after she terminated him……the ongoing denigrating and out and out attempt to replace the Senior Center Director… and stopping RFPs from being read aloud as she claimed to be above reproach for opening sealed bids …not reading them aloud and taking them to the back room…….She did not point out her termination of  BSO Polcie Chief Gooding or leading on the BSO for months over their new offices…She did not talk of her thwarting public records requests and financial statements….looking the other way on VFD oversight…or anything McIntee-Silverstone related….Her payback actions to those residents and businesses that dared to call her on her actions……She left off the presentation her shorting the Chamber /Welcome Center and sullying their personnel…All this was aided and abetted by the current majority…They sat mute as she denigrated CPAs and hurled insults and innuendo to residents and businesses…. Silverstone/ McIntee love to  talk of her sterling reputation…her being highly regarded everywhere she goes… This writer hears of her other reputation that counters their claims from those who have felt her wrath… She and Silverstone and McIntee were responsible for keeping it quiet for 2 years that she gave herself a years severance if she is ever terminated……..and so much more…(prev. posts)….But tonight it was a last ditch effort to hold on to their power…… Yes, it’s nice to have a healthy budget…but you can have that with a Manager that understands her place in on the dais…and her place in the LBTS Commissioner-manager form of government mandated by the Charter!…

The Public Safety item was odd with McIntee and Silverstone “going after” the VFD Fire Chief for the Beach Patrol ATVs not saying “Volunteer”..The Chief was short and stood his ground and the BFF “Broom Boys”…were left with nothin’… (This writer has heard the VFD is not on board with this Silverstone re-e-lection…guess those who said so, were not speaking out of turn)….

Commissioner Comments was the most disgusting display we have ever witnessed in this town…thanks in large part with “Besotted” Clueless” “Classless” “Crazy” Clottey…She should be removed from office!…It was shameful…She lied and perpetrated false statements of racial slurs that she says took place in the hall…False!…A look at the Feb 9 2010 public comments (yes, again proves it did not happen!… She made statements to incite…and distort and then crossed the line further with references Nazi Germany… Going so far as to say her candidate received a threat to “kill” him.!….I am told the majority of voters (this voter is among them) feel worse about voting Clottey in than they do about McIntee or Silverstone!…WOW!…I could take it no longer and told her “Shame on you!”… She answered and asked if I wanted to speak since I know more… That was the only honest thing that came out of her mouth in this whole despicable diatribe!… Commissioner Jim “He’s not a nice guy” Silverstone lied about this writer when he said I said drivers that honked were “stupid voters”… I said they were “misinformed”…perhaps Silverstone does not understand what “misinformed” means!…Pecifically!… I said it was a lie…and I was given a warning…I took it gladly to right his wrong…… Vice Mayor McIntee seized his opportunity…He called for me to be removed and said it was a 2nd warning… A vote was taken and surprise, surprise…these three “led by the nose” Furth Commissioners voted 3-2 to remove me… I took the parting shot at the door to say “Shame” on them…and tell them they were “lying” …”propaganda”…”fear-mongering”… I am told the CIC- Furth “pack” clapped at my removal…and a call to give them a second warning and removal by the Mayor was voted down…3-2 by “led by the nose” Furth Commissioners Silverstone- Clottey-McIntee…It figures!… I am told Jimmy campaigned big time on false statements…and false attacks he said he received……and of course he steered clear  on his McIntee-like voting record!…I missed Comm. Dodd’s comments…and heard a small portion of Mcintee’s swan song…No matter…it was the same old tired stuff…No mention that he is leaving a despised man…who was given the heave-ho by the VFD  (who now says it’s our turn …meaning the voters …and the CIC and is slinking out of town… (Pod and all)…The Mayor finally broke down……Town Manager Colon was seen and heard chuckling at the Mayor’s pained reaction to what she has been in receipt of over the last 2 years and the last 2 hours of this evenings “game plan”…….. The Mayor shot back at outgoing, disgraced Vice Mayor McIntee that he finally succeeded after 2 years…He made her cry!… What a fitting way for such a “pox” on our town to exit!…The “bully” made an elected official cry!…Sums up the Vice Mayor’s..M.O.”Quack, Quack”…In the line of fire …the Mayor still called the present majority to task for all their bad acts…and said it was the voters…the taxpayers who paid the price.in the long run..not she!… This writer agrees…not she!…

Did they pull off this dastardly planned parting night of propaganda?… We shall see…Next Tuesday…after 7 pm…

Are the voters still uninformed in 2010?…Are the voters gullible in 2010 ?…Are the voters so complacent that it matters not as long as the ends justify the means in 2010?…

I certainly hope there is an  overwhelming number of informed voters this year and they are ready to say enough is enough to this type of shameful orchestrated fear-mongering….I must hold on to the hope that they will not fall prey to orchestrated race baiting being spewed as we saw last night in order to retain Furth-er Colon Silverstone-Clottey-Evans-Couriel style power over the next 4 years…Because it we are so easily deceived…so disengaged that we allow it to go on…heaven help us all!…

Time to come clean in 2010….. napkins …silverware…. table manners …and properly attired…. Leave the buckets outside the door in 2010!…
