THE LBTS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE /WELCOME CENTER SEMI-ANNUAL CRAFT/ART FESTIVAL  & ATHENA BY THE SEA WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL …March 13-14 2010…

Both days were packed with residents and tourists…

We hear there were “complaints” coming from the 2nd floor of a well known restaurant that the Craft Fair was impacting their business…Hardly!…Hmmm…Many noticed a recurring theme with the yellow sidewalk cafe’ umbrellas …reminding us all of the yellow balloons tied on the Silverstone/Evans/Couriel tents and the yellow papered flier that was left on our door knobs the day before the election last Monday…That yellow papered flier was the nail in the coffin for the losing campaign…May want to rethink those new umbrellas!… OUCH!….

Athena By The Sea is grillin’ up the gyros…sausage & peppers … hot dogs …and more…plus live music…and it continues on St. Patty’s day Wed. 1-10 pm at the Pier…along with The Village Grille and Pub and 101 Ocean!…. Wear your green!… (Just not your yellow! )….

Dear Readers…what a great weekend we had in LBTS…The Chamber and Athena outdid themselves!… This writer walked around last night with the BCbythesea hubby and did some grandmother- to- be style shopping this morning!…Everywhere I went there were smiles and a feeling of accomplishment and anticipation as we head into Monday night and the swearing in of Mayor Roseann Minnet/Scot Sasser and Chris Vincent at 7 pm in Jarvis Hall ….This writer can hardly wait as well!… (can’t stop hearing Carly Simon in my head!)….
