Dear Readers … Back in the thick of things as we close out November and head into a jam packed December here in LBTS … The days are full of meetings…voting …big time changes ? …campaigning …and holiday parties and events….culminating in the gathering of old and  new… residents and tourists to say goodbye to 2009 and welcome in 2010 in the downtown square as we watch the Village Grille ball come down!…

We start with this week and Dec. 1….the 1st Regular Commission meeting of the month at 7 pm…on Wednesday Dec. 2nd the Chamber’s Holiday Party at Aruba Beach Cafe 6pm… …..Dec. 3rd the POA at 6:30 with Broward County Property Appraiser Lori Parrish …(Holiday cookies, bring some to share)… Dec. 4th…Jazz on the Square from the Village Grille …Dec. 5th the 9 am Saturday morning Beach Clean-up sponsored by the Chamber at the Beach Pavilion…(the 1st Sat. of every month)…Sat. Night…Athena By The Sea’s Elvis is ready to rock…leading us into even more…in week 2…

December is the the month for the VFD to nominate and vote in the new elected officers…Mon. Dec 7th…Commission Round Table 5:30 …the MPSCommittee will join in for the Oriana Million discussion and more…and at 7pm to follow…the wrap-up of the 2nd Comm. meeting in November,,, The 2nd Regular Comm. meeting for the month of Dec. is on Dec. 8th at 7 pm…at Jarvis Hall… Dec. 9th…it’s Christmas By The Sea at 5-9pm…in the square …Dec. 13th it’s time to light the Menorah also in the square…

Throughout the first 2 weeks…new candidates for the Commission in 2010 Scot Sasser from District 1 and Chris Vincent District 2 will be in attendance and will be knocking on your door to see what’s on the minds of the people they hope to have the privilege to represent…by earning their votes on March 9, 2010!…
