I personally thank him for his services and feel comfortable knowing there are fit young men out there keeping an eye on us. Thank you unknown voulenteer. The VFD members I usually see out playing with their beach toys are about 40 to 50 pounds overweight and look as though thier supplementing thier social security income. It doesnt matter if it's helping someone who fell and cant get up at 3 in the morning, assisting a handicap person trapped in his own bathroom by a rat, responding to a police chase ending up in a rollover, protecting your family, home and personal belongings in the event of a fire, or responding to life threatening medical emergencies, they are there when we need to call on them. Part of that is having the right equipment to respond to a variety of emergencies, whether or not YOU deem it a true emergency, its an emergency to someone. Public Safety men and women are here to respond to any emergency at any time.
