Examples essential of functions provide information on flood zones, maintains parking, payroll, purchase orders, account balances, collect fees and prepare reports. Ingoing and outgoing mail / interoffice department supplies and purchase orders, other department head assigned duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

ESSENTIALLY SEDENTARY, OCCASIONAL WALKING, BENDING, LIGHT LIFTING OR OTHER RESTRICTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES. SOME TASKS REQUIRE VISUAL PERCEPTION AND DISCRIMINATION. SOME TASKS REQUIRE ORAL COMMUNICATIONS ABILITY.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

TASKS ARE REGULARLY PERFORMED WITHOUT EXPOSURE TO ADVERSE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS EG. DIRT, COLD, RAIN, FUMES.

BC- Of note- the above may well be a government mandated requirement for such job applications…but fodder still in its need…in the same vein as hairdryers coming with a tag warning not to use in the tub!…

Also quite a chuckle came after Comm. Dodd observed the job posted on the board and remarked …”Do you suppose they are looking for someone to deal with e-mails!”….

This writer heard that the head of Code enforcement was leaving at the end of the month …as well as the assistant to the director of Municipal works…thus far I have not seen any job openings posted for these positions on the Town website/ Town board or in the Sentinel as was voted on to be required after Comm. Clottey made such a motion long ago…Unless there is some department switcheroo with no new hires required…..(more hats?)…are we seeing another UNILATERAL decision by the Town Manager…..to bypass the direction of the Commission?…

more to come….
