A quick look online at what is becoming the clear winner of the local LBTS newspapers competition…….with more substance…more journalism…and definitely more writers….including a surprise complimentary nod from Ms Geesey…to this writer and this site…

Thank you…but..the “symbol” to the left of the acknowledgment is pretty disturbing to say the least….

UPDATE…picked up the printed copy of the Futures…now I see it’s SAUSAGE!…FUNNY!!!!…Thanks!…(sorry for the 1st interpretation……thought it was the editorial opinion of the subject of the article….OOPS!)

More disconcerting …though is the report from Mark Brown…that an additional $50 thousand is “earmarked” in the budget for the McIntee Public Safety Complex swimming pool!…

BCbythesea…how did the Aug/ Sept. 2008 Town Topics “Town News”…..”Recreational Ideas Sought”…”seeking feedback from residents on recreational activities they might like to see the Town offer in the future, such as swimming lessons.”….become the $50 thousand dollar McIntee Public Safety Complex Youth Swimming Pool?….YIKES!….

Say it ain’t so….and if it is…then the Town Manager should be called to task!……..

As previously posted…the progress of the hotel “remodel” is in a holding pattern…awaiting contractors and permits….per a Town Administrator today….

As previously posted….the purchase itself…should have been thought out…with extensive discussion …that might have led to a Town Hall Complex…inclusive of a non-named public safety complex…

( I agree with Mr Brown’s idea that an apartment could be rented for AMR…if indeed other municipalities are also required to provide free housing for a private company…previous post…this is yet another reason why more discussion should have taken place)

As previously posted….this is why we need a referendum for a vote on purchases of property a million dollars or more….

The McIntee Public Safety Complex…is really “Mr. Blandings Dream House”….or it’s updated version..
